I'm probably calling it a night after this half-inning. Don't want to stay up too late on a weeknight for a non-LSU game...

Strikeout swinging, 1 out
Fly ball dropped by 2B in right, batter to 2nd, 1 out
ruled a 2-base error on 2B
RBI single to right center, runner on 1st, 1 out, Florida leads 1-0
Runner caught stealing 2nd, 2 outs
Groundout 4-3 ends the inning, Florida leads 1-0
Goodnight everybody

Good God man. We appreciate what you do during LSU games but I don't think anyone is even reading this. Get some rest and get those fingers off their feet so they're ready for tomorrow.

"Single Elimination Saturday" is such bullshite.
So LSU could beat Kentucky tonight, but then if Kentucky beats LSU on Saturday, Kentucky moves on the the Championship game.

Happened to us last year against Florida. We beat them in a marathon on Wednesday, they went through the loser's bracket and beat us in a pitcher's duel on Saturday to advance.
I can't remember the exact number, but I'm pretty sure winner's bracket teams have a losing record in the semifinal under the current format.

Ok what is the deal with the batting rubber between the teeth while on the bases. That is the 2nd or 3rd person I see do that. Looks dumb.

It is a pad they put on their thumb to grip the bat. No idea why they need it on the bases.

Because no coach wants to be playing 6 games in 5 days right before regionals start. It worked to our advantage in 2013. We beat Arkansas in the semis after having lost to them a few days before.

I think they don't want to cut the feild down because a team like South Carolina and Mizzou can still make a run at an NCAA bid with this tournament.

Honestly I'd rather just get bounced out in the semis with a 2-1 record instead of potentially adding another in the loss column. Rest up before the regional, especially if we already have a natl seed locked up.

Would certainly make sense to pitch Walker tomorrow instead of Poche if Walker will be our starter in game 1 of the regionals.
