Can someone help me out? I go to a couple games year but now Im interested in becoming a season ticket holder. Whats the process to get tickets? From what I can see online, I need to become a TAF member. But how much donation is required? Is there a waiting list? Etc, etc.....if someone can explain it to me I'd appreciate it

There is a waiting list. I do know that. No idea how long it is. I think you tell the ticket office where you want seats or if you just want season tickets, doesn't matter where the seats are.
My dad got them but I haven't asked him all the details.
Not sure if it's required that you become a TAF member although it couldn't hurt. They have different donations that they take. Google them and you can find the options.
That's about all I know. I think if you call the ticket office and just tell them you would like season tickets, don't care where the seats are, that would expedite things.
They'll get in touch with you (via phone or email, I think it's up to you) when they find something that suits you.
Also, I believe you pay for the tickets once they find something that suits. Meaning, you don't ask them for season tickets, then pay for them, then sit around until they finally find them.
I wouldn't think you'd think that was the case but this is the rant. Just wanted to mention that.

A lot depends on your expectations on where you want to sit. If you're willing to sit in the upper decks, your chances are better. A word on the seats in the East and West upper decks...while high, you have a great view, unlike some end zone seats. That said, go to lsutaf.org and join. You will get notices of when you can apply for tickets. Contrary to popular believe, I don't think there's a magic number on how much you have to contribute to move up on the waiting list. I you contribute that much, you would already have tickets.

my dad's had season tickets for 20+ years and you have to be a member of TAF and donate a good bit religiously if you want to get some tickets now. not near as easy as it was to get them

I've owned tickets for a long time and yes you would need to join TAF if you want to even think about getting season tickets. You can either donate a chunk now and increase your chances or donate $100 every year for probably 10 years before you accrue enough loyalty donation points. I know people who decided last year to join TAF and they donated $5000 and still did not get a pair of season tickets. Either donate a lot or hope LSU has several losing seasons....please do not wish for this.

there is a waiting list,a friend of mine went thru the process a few years ago.....at the time it was 20$ a year to be on the list and you had to renew every year for the 20$....he got his tickets last season after a three year wait.....but now that we lost to bama there's people that wont support the program until miles is gone,so it may be quicker....oh wait thats the loud mouths they dont have season tix never mind.

If you are patient, donate 100 bucks a year. I did this and at year 6 I could have had tickets but turned thm down.
If impatient donate 5 k now and then 5 k in 2013 before march 31. You get more bonus points this way and have more points than if you donated all 10 k next year.
5 k donation for next year alone will not get you tickets. I made a big donation to get good seats, but I met with the taf guy first to come up with a plan. They are very helpful and honest, and my rep drove to my town to meet me.
Cool thing about the system is it rewards loyal donors, and you get bonus points for renewing even if it's only 100 bucks.

Yeah I was in the upper east deck for the Bama game. First time I've had tickets that weren't student section seats or north endzone. I'd rather sit in that area, but I'd be happy with upper deck seats and just wait for better seats to become available
