Whether you have supported Miles in the past or not it is obvious at this point that a change is required. The players can say what they want about Miles and be loyal but there simply has been too much negativity surrounding Miles and this staff for credibility to be restored.

And screw the media and their opinions. The same media members who have been critical of Miles and take shots at him are now saying they are surprised that LSU would get rid of Miles and tout his 11 year record at LSU. LSU can't continue with Miles at this point even if it wants to because he has been destroyed in the eyes of recruits and the damage is permanent. You already see Orgeron ready to bail by publicly chasing the Syracuse job. Other assistants will follow suit. Therefore, recruiting is shot and other coaches will exploit this to the max and hanging on to a coach and staff whichis seen as on the way out will never work. Things have simply gone too far to recover under this staff. A change must be made and the sooner the better.

Recruiting is done at this point and LSUs main recruit is now a head coach. I don't give a tinker's damn what other school is looking for a head coach or what any perceived time frame is for some worthless bowl game for LSU or any bowl which our new coaches current team may be involved in. Timing is everything and all these supposedly insiders and big money SOBs who have been running their mouths to the national and local media need to put up because its too late to shut up.

For the sake of the program it is time for a change to be made so this fan base can get behind a new coaching staff because Miles is neutered and has a staff now that he can't count on.

How in the damn world can LSU use Orgeron as a recruiter at this point when he publicly states he is looking to get out? What recruit is going to come here based on Orgeron being his position coach or come in not knowing who his position coach would be? Miles and company must go and go as soon after the A&M game as possible.

Screw Recruiting

Stop posting, a lot of college football is won here now. We lost this year when we did not recruit in the defensive front 7 for multiple cycles.

this is what I find funny, finebaum has been shitting on miles for years now and today, ranters stood by him in solidarity because he doesn't want LSU to fire his whipping boy? ESPN talking heads back Miles and now somehow they're someone we trust?

c'mon now, at least have some consistency, people.

A new staff brought in quickly could get right to work and stabilize recruiting. Kids usually look at the program in particular and not just the coach. Hell a new coach with a different offensive philosophy might make some recruits wanna come even more.

No. I am saying that this staff is now going to struggle recruiting because of the public perception that Miles is done at LSU and key staff members are publicly chasing other jobs. Do you not see how this looks to a recruit?

Miles has to go.

the current staff won't have to worry about any ambiguity after the a&m game.

So you are saying the entire staff should stop recruiting? It is what you said. Even though most have said atleast a few coaches will be retained regardless.

Or that these coaches do not have the class to keep recruiting, because Les sure as hell still will. It has been said countless times, recruits commit to the program over the coaches.

I agree this administration is making it 10X worse. Something needs to be said because we could lose the IMG guys we are after for sure. But to ever say coaches sto[ recruiting is naive and stupid.

Recruiting never stops for a college coach.

Do you honestly think that this staff isn't already looking for other jobs? They can read the papers. They have TVs. They have radios. The status of Les Miles has been the hot topic.

Oh I am sure that Orgeron is just dedicated to being at LSU and helping recruit. So much so that he volunteered his name to be in the hat for the Syracuse job and did it publicly. Are some of you asleep? How in the world could Orgeron go into a home and recruit and tell a DL recruit to come to play at LSU when he is in the paper looking to leave? Orgeron is the tip of the iceberg.

They are still maintaining contact but aren't pushing for any signatures. Contact is for their next gig.

Keep an eye on Corey Raymond & A&M

Some of you guys can't read and comprehend. No. I said that they are going to be ineffective at recruiting as a result of all of the media and LSU "insiders" talking to the media and turning this situation into the fricking circus it has become.

Therefore Miles must go asap. He is done. How effective is a staff when the head coach is viewed as a lame duck?

Because if Ed O does not get the job he is so interested in, which I do not think he does btw, or every coach according to you. The new coach comes over, even though it is not a done deal, and does not keep any of them .

Answer this then, for the official visitors we have this week and unofficial guys, if it was up to you, no coach should talk to them? Lets just cancel their visits and ask Jimbo, assuming thats who you want, who he would like to visit?

You are kidding yourself. We lost a major recruit today. More will follow.

Miles and this staff are hamstrung and the longer LSU dicks around at this point the more damage will be done.

If you read my entire original post then you would understand the STABILITY is what I said LSU needs and right now this staff can't give LSU that.

It is obvious.

You are 100% correct, just to see what you think out of our committed recruits, who or even how many do you think leave?
