oh and let me add he was gone at 9-3 last year with of course still no sec west title and only 1 the last 8 years AND the 3 worst losses in a season since the 60's!

After Miles is gone the back stabbing will go on. All those anti-Miles snowflakes who were pulling for a coach other than the one hired will still have their knives out. The new guy might, just might, have a one or two game grace period before they are back. This board feeds off hatred and ignorance.

There are a lot of people here who think there's no chance Herman would come to LSU because of "Texas ties" and Ohio and blah blah. They could very well be right, but it seems to me that guys like Tom Herman want to win and want to be the best. What guy like that would not want to come to the school who gives him the best chance to beat/play against Nick Saban every year?

If I was a coach wanting to prove myself, I would want to play against the best every year. And what better school than LSU gives you the opportunity to do that?

ETA: on top of that, our schedule (for the past few years) is setup to play Bama. And theirs is setup to play us. If you want to beat Bama and be "better than Saban", come to LSU.

Larry Fedora is one candidate,

What!?!?!

Change for the sake of change rarely works our well. Fedora couldn't sniff Miles' jock.

If there is a coaching change, for God's sake at least make sure it's an upgrade (which pretty much means Herman or bust)!

I think LSU is in position to withstand a coaching change while they are still bringing in top talent. If Miles, an avg coach at the time, can come in and maintain an established LSU program.. I no longer have any worries another couldn't do similar..

Even if they turn on the new coach, I still believe we would at worst get similar results wins/losses and actually potentially be more competitive in possible losses.. With an above avg coach the sky is limit for LSU with the type of talent they are able to bring in once established. IMO.

I don't care if people complain if a new coach doesn't get it done either.. I would rather try to go for better than just sit around with the same o same o.. like FSU was doing late in Bowden's career.. Fisher comes in and immediately makes them a contender again.

To me, it just depends how bad it gets, whether or not to fire during the season. I think people just want to get the wheels in motion ASAP to really explore all options I reckon. Also, depending upon how bad they may look in a loss.. it may be best to fire and let another coach take over.. potentially the team could respond better to the new coach.. and put a better product on the field.. look much better.. which would be more enticing to coaches or even recruits on the fence about the program.

I'm not sure if Miles is gonna be gone or not. But if that's the route they go, those involved need to keep their mouths shut this time around.

To be fair it's extremely low odds it would be a downgrade.

Here's your answer - UH fans have much lower expectations but high hopes for a return to major status - Herman is their guy and he seems committed to his players - UH alums are more known for academic giving than sports - but, there are deep pockets that can easily pay him enough to keep him there for at least another 3-4 years - Big 12 connection is the next upgrade for them as it will definitely increase TV revenue across the board for them and their conference - as much as I dislike that league. Too much pressure to win at LSU in the toughest conference and no need to pick a fight with Saban - wouldn't surprise me if Bama already has him in play as a successor to Saban 2-3 years from now.

Feeding off hatred and fear.

I'd be interested to see a poll or role call

I would like to find another coach, but j am tired of all of the excessive bitching when we have a chance to put together a solid season

And I think Trump would be one of the worst things to happen to America. It not only terrifies me that he could be president, it also terrifies me that almost 40% of the country would want him as president

Too much generalizing.

Feel like you do about Trump and trumpanzees. As you know, this board, like Louisiana, is a cesspool of right-wing ignorance.

However, I want Les gone.

The sooner, the better.
