To me you should stand at critical junctures and take your cues from the people around you...if you are 15 rows back in your section in the 2nd qtr and you are standing and no one else is, you should sit...any defensive play and 3rd or 4th down off play in a close game toward the end of the 4th qtr, should be ok to stand w/o any comment.

I'm 6'3" and I stand the entire game. It's my right as a true fan to do so. Some old man tapped me on the shoulder and asked me to sit, that his wife couldn't see. I turned around and saw the old lady in a walking boot. Told him to walk his arse out the stadium and to STTDB. Real fans stand.

God I hope you are standing in front of me at a game and pull that shite. You'd be begging for paper bags to pick up your guts.

You probably didn't even go to college, much less graduate from LSU. You are sound like the guy on the garbage truck that the other men won't talk to.

Of course I have an image of you as a 5'6" 26 yr old with severe acne so you look like a freshman in High School.

What a badazzzz you are

A) you don't have to stand the whole game, we play offense
B) I don't have a problem with people that sit. I have a problem when's someonee tells me to sit when I'm trying to make noise.
C) It enhances the game experience, especially when you've been tailgating all day and you're helping out the team

I'm 46, went to LSU games before I went there in the mid-late 80's, and have been attending regularly since. I like to sit for a majority of the game, but instinctively stand at big moments (or just some random times when something happens that I get really happy or really pissed about, just can't help it! And, it seems like most of the people around me do as well. Shouldn't that be expected at any big-time CFB venue? I'm healthy, and if I ever get to a point where I can't physically deal with the games and all that that entails, then I'll give my tickets to someone else who can.

I think one thing people here are missing is that if you can't stand for the better part of three hours of an LSU football game you probably shouldn't be in the stadium. This is not to be mean but during games like this standing and cheering and doing the different situational chants is part of the experience. If that is not what you want to do the view on TV is going to be better more enjoyable anyways.

This. I can sit and watch a game for 3 hours on my couch. If you aren't part of the game what's the point of going?

Part of the problem at Tiger Stadium: too many women. Some have a vagina. Some have a penis.

This is absolutely the right attitude.

So you are ONLY part of the game if you are standing the ENTIRE game? Honest question.

Personally, I know I can make as much noise sitting as I can standing.

Exactly! Why does anyone need to stand? If everyone one sits all can see. Do you think you yell louder if standing? Does your eyesight improve when standing? That is one reason I do not necessarily enjoy attending football games. That and traffic and parking hassles. It is just a more enjoyable experience to watch game at home.

Why would I stand the ENTIRE game when we play offense?
Usually only comes out to about 25 minutes when the other team has the ball. Same time spent standing in church

turn around and ask if he is serious, and he's like "yeah, it's my kid's first game." I laugh and tell him to look around, everybody in the entire stadium is standing and that if there is an expected time to stand, this is it. He keeps on and on and on and finally I had enough and told him his kid may not be able to see the field but he'll have a great view of his dad's arse whooping.

You would've had to do bud if would've been me. That's just a dick move. There's nowhere or no time that shite like that is cool.

Not necessarilky but there are some fans that do stand all game and at very least most fans are standing during the big moments of the game. If you want to sit all game and enjoy the atmosphere then awesome but if you sit all game and complain about the view and those that are standing you would probably be happier at home or at a tailgate watching the game on tv.
