I am glad people are finally seeing my side of this. Last year I would always post about those "classy and knowledgeable LSU baseball fans" and say "hey, I heard that they cheer when the other team makes a great play! Did you know that" and I would get just crushed on here. It is like someone said in another thread. These types of people do things like encourage opposing victory laps and cheer great plays by the other team, then run home and scan all the media outlets to see who was talking about how classy they were. I would love to get a professional psychologist/sociologist to explain this phenomenon to me.

And I have known some of the infamous tailgaters who think they are coooool as frick because the feet the other team after games and such. Whoopty fricking doo. Do it if you like....don't center your life around it and tell the rest of us about it repeatedly as if we give a frick...

Should've taken off "National Champions" and all of our years and replaced it with "Super Regional Runners-Up 2012". That way the other team always feels like they have a shot and won't get their feelings hurt.

Wasn't Stony Brook a D-III school at one time?

News to me. I wonder if the head coaching job was always a full time job?

now people say we're classy, and we hate it.

I went through months of therapy during that period. Not being liked really affected my self esteem. I haven't needed any anti depressants since Sunday though

i don't generally like being called a class-less fan base and hearing opposing fans tell horror stories about their experiences in BR.

when you meet a group of people at a social gathering, wouldn't you want them to have a favorable opinion of you?

is it fun to be considered an a-hole? i think i'm missing something. is this like LSU fan kayfabe or something?

Being loved or hated by random anonymous Internet posters doesn't really effect me one way or the other

but fricks sure seem to be given if LSU fans want to be viewed in a positive light?

don't get me wrong i think the victory lap was over the top and i sure as hell wouldn't have statyed around to celebrate with an opposing team but i didn't think it our fans sucked for it.

The only thing I can come up with, is the people who joined in this opposing victory lap aren't emotionally invested in LSU baseball. Because after I watched them dogpile, I gave a half hearted clap, and walked out of there like a zombie

ok so it's more of a thing with the fans that did it. i';m reading other threads and getting caught up. it seems to be a rally against the "look at me" fans. i guess it get it now.
