The Saints offense is what LSU’s offense is supposed to look like. Run the ball and then pass it. Of course this requires a good QB which we haven’t had since 2007

Air Coryell. The vertical offense . We had it with Cam Cameron but at that time our defense sucked balls

Well there was Mett. Tragically, LSU managed one fricking good year out of Mett, and it happened to correspond with the worst defense since 1999 so it was wasted.

It’s really pitiful that it took so long, and so many NFL players around him, just to make Mett productive. That’s the true testament to the awfulness of LSU offense.

The program is just destined to have terrible offenses no matter what.

I’m not an offensive playbook master but I do know a little. From listening to E and O talk a RPO offense is what they are gonna be looking to do. Slants, slugs, probably some zone blocking and hitting the deep ball. The offense that does that the most in the NFL is the Pittsburg Steelers. 3 wide with AB JuJu and that other cat that always in trouble with bell in the backfield Now of course they have forced plays because of situation but if Ben walks to the line and sees AB on a slant he motions to him. If he comes up and sees they are not giving enough to stop the run he gives it to Bell. RPO’s are the shite! I’m very excited about the possibility of seeing that. What’s done is done and now we just gotta sit back and let the see if they can do it. My fingers are crossed.

Most of the time, the Saints still use the pass to open up the run. This year it's maybe 50/50.
