I haven't felt this way about LSU football at the start of a season since 1999. And with all the talent, it is a shame.

The whole season seems lost. And, a win tonight won't change that. Wins in the next 6 weeks won't change it. We will all know what is coming when we hit the rough stretch. Nothing will have changed.

Last year, with the 3 losses in a row, we realized that LSU can't compete with the good teams anymore. Last Saturday proved it.

How do we change this perception?

LSU football has to to start fighting again and pull out all the stops to take it to the opponent. We don't do that. We just try to overpower teams, and if we can't we lose.

Sad way to start a season that now seems lost.

It's not necessarily the loss. It's how we lost that has pulled the rug out from under LSU fans.

Tonight's game unfortunately can do nothing to fix it either.

Being that miserable is a personal choice. Some of you need to reevaluate your lives.

Now that I am a week removed from the shite show I can say that there is still a lot to play for. However, with our current stubborn 1940's offensive coaching style, I don't see us doing it. Miles and Co hoodwinked a lot of people. (Not me, 1/9 never forget).

It just sucked the air out of the program. Win or lose, he's got to go.

It's sad that you aren't a better person to yourself. The season is just getting started. If you can't enjoy anything about LSU football, then walk away from it. IF this has that big of an affect on your life, I truly feel sorry for you.

I agree to an extent. There is now no room for error if we want to make the playoffs. Watching us flounder against UW and then watching Bama destroy USC and keep on rolling on offense without missing a beat certainly doesnt give me much hope for November. Getting to 1-1 tonight is not that assuring either.

I'm not miserable overall. I'm talking about LSU football. It is just one thing. I'm actually having a great morning, but it is absent the normal expectation I feel from it being game day, no matter who we play.

I just don't care anymore.

And, you are part of the problem. If anyone needs to reevaluate anything, it's you.

How? I said Les needs to go. I'm just not going to act like a hair on fire vagina about it and will try to enjoy the season. Sorry that upsets you.

The whole post was about LSU FOOTBALL. Not my life. I'm enjoying the day and am fine. I just noticed that it is a Saturday in the Fall and I don't care about LSU football. I had to think back to when that last happened and it was 1999 because I knew there was no point. Seems strange.

You said he needed to go? Well, good. It's about time.

I am saying that it feels weird to not be excited about the season in week 2. Your hysterics about that are incomprehensible.

I bet that my sentiment is common among LSU fans. It isn't that we lost one game. It is that we looked atrocious and we know now that nothing improved. Nor do we think it will.

It is. I never thought we could look that inept with the talent on this team.....with the magnitude of that game....on national tv....first game of the season. Its mind boggling.

And for you pussies spouting off about "feeling sorry for you" and the similar hogwash, GFY...k????
Someone said earlier that you people are the problem and they're right. You're too simple minded to realize that some LSU fans can be really angry about the state of the football problem without letting it affect their whole lives.
Do you people even think before u type?

Bottom line is I think everyone now knows this is all we get with Les. He will not change. If he didn't change things after the end of last season then he never will. Let's just make it through the season, pull for these kids, and hope for the best at the end. No reason for booing. Go to the games, yell for the Tigers, and at the end of the season hopefully say good-bye to Les and thanks for the memories.

Considering that was miles OOC regular season lost of course it stings but its highlight his accomplishment. Oregon, wiscousin in 14, TCU, WVU 2 times one when the were ranked mid season top 15 in WVU. Guy is allowed one mulligan in 12 seasons.

Herbsteit just said that since the 1/9 fiasco, LSU's offense has never been the same. IMO, it goes way back before that but I think we can all agree that Saban took the wind out of our sails that night.

It's because LSU lost their opener for the first time since 2002. Expectations of the program were MUCH different then. It's a new experience for Tiger fans.

The malaise will last for at least the next two weeks. Assuming LSU can beat JSU and MSU, there will be more excitement heading into to AU game. That will be the barometer for the rest of the season. Win, and you'll see excitement in Oct. Lose, and the fans will have largely given up on the season (except for the chance to play spoiler against Bama and OM)

No LSU team has had a killer instinct since 2011

Get ready for another Towson tonight.

BEEFEENSE, at least I am glad you are on board that Les needs to go. For the longest you seemed to be one of his strongest defenders along with Choctaw and DGNX6 and Rickdaddy. Welcome to the DArk side.
