Saban - "LSU is the best defense the Bama offense will face this year" meaning

LSU's defense is better than any defense Bama is going to go up against including the Bama defense they scrimmage in practice every week. Wow!!!! Saban would know, he's a defensive genius.

Orgeron told a crowd in New Orleans "Monday is tell the truth Monday, we kicked Ole Miss's arse." Wonder what the truth will be on the Monday following the Bama game, anybody care to guess? Or does he the the truth thing Tuesday?

Why do you need Sabans input who cares Saban says this every year it's part of his strategy build up a team and then crush them on gameday

At least he will have to study game film this year. In the past few years I doubt he had to think very hard when playing lsu with miles

Saban may be telling the truth, but he sets you up with those kind of comments. He knows every season LSU is the one team that is capable of dethroning his teams and he plays up to that. One year he was saying LSU's offense will be the best they will ever see or face and they then went out and kicked our butts. That was the first season under Cameron when they were indeed the best SEC offense, but didn't play like it in that game. But the difference this season is he is not facing an LSU team led by Les Miles, so I hope all systems are a go in this game with regards to getting out there and taking care of business.
Saban has a way of making you fall for his bullshite and then does a number on you, but he is right about this defense. They have the making to be a dominating defense. They haven't done it so for this season, just in parts of games. This game here I hope they destroy from start to finish.

I'll repeat for those who didn't see the game (or don't remember it): Our offense came out on fire and if JC Copeland doesn't fumble away a TD on the goalline I think we win that game.
Our team wasn't able to recover from the momentum swing of the turnover and the fact that they'd essentially earned a TD that didn't count compliments of the funble.
That game was much closer than the final score would seem to suggest. I suspect that if we get that TD, the rest of th game plays out very differently and we get the win.
When playing against Bama, you cannot commit turnovers in the red zone (goalline at that) and expect to win.
That was the play that determined the outcome of the game.

I know this was a joke..
But Bama has given up 119 points through it's first 8 games (it's second highest number since 2011).
LSU has given up 98 (BY FAR it's lowest since 2011). And only 6 points behind that all time 2011 defense.
We've been playing "pretty good" defense for such a long time that we don't really notice an elite one until we take a step back.
I said it last night and I'll say it again. This team could be the best LSU team since 2003.

Statistically speaking he's right. LSU is currently ranked 14th and Alabama doesn't play anyone currently ranked ahead of us unless they reach the SEC championship game against Florida and/or the playoffs. The highest ranked defense they've played so far is Southern Cal which is 45th.

$13 million next year will land Mrs. Saban and hubby in Baton Rouge. He really wants to come back but Coach O is going to wipe the field with Bama jelly and spam.
