Glad to hear it. I have always liked him. It's a shame Miles couldn't use his talents better while at LSU.

This is pretty cool:

quote:

“He’s probably our best all-around player on this team as far as the passion that he comes with every day to work, as far as the leadership that he gives us and just his heart,” Winston said. “His overall heart is tremendous. This was another big win for him because their head coach cut him, and that’s personal to him. We did everything in our power to help him.”

Shepard was thrust into the lineup after fellow receiver Vincent Jackson was placed on injured reserve. Given the opportunity, he caught as many passes against San Francisco as he had in his first three seasons in the NFL. Shepard gave a pregame speech before facing the 49ers, who are led by Chip Kelly – a coach who cut Shepard early in his career.

The speech wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, though.

“Shep gives a pregame speech in the locker room before every game. So, we just rallied behind him and went out there and played some good football.”

all have had a ton of success in the NFL and were unable to find such success at LSU. This is why Les Miles is no longer the coach.

Russell was one of the people blocking Wright from getting playing time and the guys who kept both of them from putting up big numbers here have had pretty good NFL careers.

Ummm, he was awesome at LSU. One of my favorite players of the last 10 years.

Dude was a truck, had great hands, great spin move, and was an unreal pass blocker. He was a key part of the 2011 run until he failed a drug test.

till think we drastically underutilized this guy. Shoulda fed him the ball WAY more.

We tried getting him the ball in every way. Outside run, inside runs, bubble screens,wr throws. There is a reason he is just now becoming a wr threat in the nfl. Its because he wasnt a good wr while lsu.
Im really proud that he has worked his tail off to develop into a nfl wr. He has improved in every aspect of his position. His route running has become nice(all his routes look the same and he doesn't lean before he gets in his breaks),and his hands are now dependable. Im really happy for him because he had to work his arse off for the position he is in. I recently told my son his story and how he worked his butt off to achieve his dream amd wasnt given anything.

If Brandon Harris is wise and wants a future in the NFL, he'll play wide receiver, too.

Really happy for him but we should admit that he wasn't a good receiver here. Stone hands, bad routes, no ability to makes defenders miss.

But clearly he's improved a lot in the NFL so good for him and hope his career continues to progress.

And I'll eat crow here- I never thought he'd play a down in the NFL. I was wrong.

Also speaks to the sheer massive amount of talent and weapons that Les had at his disposal.

I hope youre joking. We got him the ball in every way imaginable. Inside and outsidw run, bubble screens, short passes, and deep passes. You either have an agenda or dont remember shite about Shep's time here. I also havent mentioned that we had other really talented players that warranted touches.

Blue was hurt for almost his entire career at lsu.
Ware was successful as hell at lsu.
Wright had better wrs in front of him.

My god. The things people bitch about are astounding.

Exactly. Its this mindset of posters on here that go out of their way to shite on miles. Spencer ware was our most productive player in 2011 and was a battering ram.

Holy shite. You do realize that you can look this shite up before posting, right?

James wright has 9 career receptions.
Shep has 15 career receptions.

There are actual legit things to blame Miles for without making up ignorant shite.

You clearly dont pay attention to lsu football if youthink these 2 rbs didn't have any success at lsu.
