Congratulating yourself on a victory you surely did not acheive?

Defending racists/racism gives you the label you so vigorously deny. I find it amazing that racist statements are made on this board many times, but you and others like you never seek to confront those racist statements. But let someone suggest racist behavior and you jump on them with both feet.

Of course that is to be expected. I know that anytime I point out racism here, there will be those like you who will leap into action with your name calling and anger. It is typical behavior of racists or those who condone it. All racists try to demonize those who suggest racism is a basis for their behavior.

You keep stating that I called you this or that. Again it seems you are personalizing what I have said. If so, then it is obvious what I have said applies to you. Otherwise, you would assume I was talking about the racists you admitted exist.

I do not know what your life experiences are, but I assure you I speak from experience. I have seen the ugly face of racism on too many occasions to list. And I assure you it is NOT a thing of the past as you and most racists would have one believe. As such, you or no one like you will force me to ignore it when I see it. History is filled with people like you who threaten and cajole others into accepting what they know is not right. So you can rant and rave all you like. As a LSU fan, when I see what I perceive to be racist statements, I will comment, notwithstanding people like you.

As far as being a coward, I think the coward's way would be to accept what one believes is wrong in fear of others' reactions. But who knows, we both are doing our talking through a computer screen.

BY NO MEANS am I defending racists or racism. Like I said in my previous post, if someone said "let's give a white boy a chance", I'd spit in their fricking face. However, you apparently lack the open-mindedness to see that I'm agreeing with you about the despicableness of racism, which I acknowledge is alive and well within this country today (within ALL races).

What you continue to ignore is that I'm defending people who are NOT racists whom you are unfairly labeling racists. You CANNOT make the assertion (without ANY information to back it up) that if one believes MF>JR, it is because they are racist. Period.

There you go presuming to know me and what I feel or do regarding race. You have IGNORED the point that I've been trying to make and instead have insinuated that I'm a racist for defending the rights of those to feel the way they feel about 2 LSU QBs without being unfairly labeled a racist. You've IGNORED my preference for JR over MF. You've IGNORED everything I've been trying to say because it would mean you'd have to admit that not every white person in America is a racist. Way to be a hypocrite about practicing the prejudgment that you're so adamantly opposing.

Do some of those who like MF better than JR feel that way because MF=white and JR=not-white? Absolutely, without a doubt, 100%, YES. These people are RACISTS and they are absolute SCUM. But you have NO RIGHT to cast a label of racist onto anyone who prefers MF to JR without any basis of doing so. THAT'S my point, and you keep ignoring it.

Maybe folks root for MF cause he was patient enough to ride the bench for 4 years without transferring, and they respected that patience? Maybe (like I've said repeatedly, and you've ignored) they root for MF because MF NEEDS it more than JR. Again, if you think myself and other LSU fans AREN'T rooting for JR to succeed in the NFL...an LSU alum and #1 draft pick...you're just plain old insane.

That's because if you're going to call someone a racist (or insinuate such), you'd damn well better have fricking EVIDENCE to support your claim that THAT PERSON IN PARTICULAR is a racist. You're insinuating that anyone.....ANYONE who is white and thinks MF>JR is a racist because you're of the opinion that a lot of white people feel that way because of race. That's NO DIFFERENT than someone saying "Every african-american is poor and uneducated" just because they're of the opinion (whether it's correct or not) that a lot of them are. Or if Joe Blow thinks EVERY muslim person is a terrorist, just because Joe Blow has come across a lot of muslim terrorists in his experiences. You've apparently come across racism, and now you're prejudging EVERYONE as racist, and that's hypocritical and unfair to those of us who practice equality everyday and in all that we do.

Find one place in my post where I condoned racism. I fricking dare you.

You keep stating that I called you this or that. Again it seems you are personalizing what I have said.

See the previous quote, where you grouped me in with "racists or those who condone it".

I'm not "personalizing" what you have said....you're flat out calling me a racist.

quote:

I do not know what your life experiences are

...nor do you know those of anyone else on this board, but you continue to presume to understand how they feel about race based on their preference for a QB.

quote:

but I assure you I speak from experience.

So do I.

quote:

And I assure you it is NOT a thing of the past as you and most racists would have one believe.

Again, point out where I said this. If you can't, you're prejudging me, and therefore are a hypocrite.

quote:

As a LSU fan, when I see what I perceive to be racist statements, I will comment, notwithstanding people like you.

So you're allowed to be judge, jury, and executioner of one's character?? Who gave you that right? Why is your "perception" reality? I "perceive" you to be a Jesse Jackson-esque reverse racist....by your logic, does that make it so? Are you a racist against white people? Or do only you have the power to label people?

quote:

As far as being a coward, I think the coward's way would be to accept what one believes is wrong in fear of others' reactions.

Which is exactly why I'm not accepting something that I believe is WRONG...you're prejudgment of people based on their QB preference.

In Summary:
To call anyone who is white and who likes MF>JR a racist is, in and of itself, racist. Pot, this is kettle.

I'm not a racist. If you want to call me that, fine. I'll still sleep at night. I'll still have friends of all different colors, nationalities, creeds, and backgrounds. I don't need you to be my moral compass, and I don't need you to approve of my views. I view all people equally (regardless of how you TELL me I feel), and you should learn do the same.

Until you do so, you're still a dumbass.

Flynn has a ton of talent.

If you had made that statement on this board prior to or during the 06 season you would have labeled an "idiot" immediately. As late as a couple weeks ago, some expert stated that there were twenty quarterbacks in the NCAA in 07 that were more talented than Flynn.

labeling him an "underdog" would not be very accurate.

A seventh round draft choice would indicate that he is an underdog. How many seventh round draft choices make an NFL roster?
