Too many mistakes. LSU made soo many mistakes they dint deserve to win. frickin sad after how good they played in omaha up till this game.

That is a discussion that is ALWAYS had in such a situation.
You either tell the guy he's running on contact or, you tell him to hold until he knows where it's going.
Typically, a guy that you feel can score after the commit to first base you tell to hold until certain.
Slower guy, you might tell to run on contact because you don't have confidence he can make it after a throw to first.
Basically, in the latter case, you're praying the ball isn't hit hard or straight to the 1st or 3rd basemen.
