I think the cat drill is more or less pointless and to draw conclusions from it is meaningless.

That being said, Copeland destroying Muncie was impressive.

Muncie giving up halfway through was unimpressive. Not really a LB mentality.

The point of the big cat drill is to find out who is the meanest sumbitch out there.

And sparks that competitive nature. Win or lose, they want to see you compete!

It's possible but doesnt sound like the Feist I watched in the high school playoffs this past season.

Maybe he matured or maybe the coaches found a diamond in the rough and lit a fire under his arse.

Good news if true.

That and to instill an aggressive mindset by encouraging competition.

Hilliard had poor technique, still impressive by Feist

This. Hilliard started slow and was way too high. But even if had had better technique he would have only been able to force a draw. Very good job by Feist.

How'd he do?

They dogged him all week at UA practices but in the game I thought he looked really natural. Then ran stride for stride with Jonathan Gray on a deep route. I was impressed.

true...there was nothing he could have done to stop the momentum at that point

Muncie won his big cat yesterday - Copeland is a tall order for anybody in the big cat drill.

Collins was the dude with dreads that pummeled Paul Turner.

I think it was David Jenkins.

Even though this is a power drill it really teaches players how to come out of their stance quickly, to stay low and use technique
Usually the winner is the one who comes out of their stance first

I think he had knee problems near the end of the season. He's fine.
