Why not put Pap in? He is much better defensively and can't get much worse than Romero recently at the plate

He's struggling mentally. It's not just his at bats. It's these passed balls and a couple of times last night he got stuck in no mans land and forgot to cover home.

He's had plenty of chances to settle down. Time to make the change.

I have a feeling he will sit game 2. This was probably in the cards in way with the double header but hopefully Romero gets a chance to sit and flush this out.

His last 3 at bats he's seen 10 pitches and has struck out 3 times. Time to sit on the bench and think about what you've done.

He has been in a bad funk no doubt but we know what he can do. Pap can not hit. Period.

Pap an get a walk though. His on base percentage is kinda high but hitting cleanup is tough.
