I have friends driving from N.O. so I am thinking of flying to Nashville from Houston, riding back to N.O. with friends, then riding back to houston with mom who will be in the area for New Years.

I am in along with my oldest son home visiting from the NAVY and my youngest 18yo that's a senior leaving next year for boot camp. Navy Seal....

Wanted to add a couple things from a current local Nashvillian / LSU alum.
A) There are still decent tix for $85 at LSUSports.net in the LSU sections.... on Stubhub, they are at least double...and triple at ticketmaster/music city bowl site...Don't get duped...
B) There's a pretty big (FREE) NYE event happening on Broadway that I don't recall seeing anyone mention...its part of the whole Dick Clark New Years Eve broadcast from New York (and Nashville)

C) At least hipsters in Nashville still love football. I've lived in both Chicago and Los Angeles for many years before moving here, and that just isn't the case in either of those cities :)
