I had some bum in downtown BR claim he was like the 4th man off the bench for the New Orleans Jazz in the Pistol Pete days.

That's the genius in it.

Are Rogie Magee and Todd Magee the same person? Some bum downtown claimed to be Todd Magee about a month ago.

He was by lsu claiming he lost his job and needed some money to get a hotel. He said he was waiting for Coach Stoval to get in town to help him out.

Yeah, that was some random bum looking to scratch together enough for some crack.

I heard about some guy in Nasville several years back who was scamming people by claiming to be Steve Miller (of Steve Miller Band fame). I guess he figured (and rightly so) that nobody really knew what the guy looked like.

He said his wife was in the bathroom taking a bath in the sink. i told him I woul give him some money when she came outside. Then he started getting mad saying I was giving him a test. She never came out.

I have a couple of pictures of Rogie but my scanner's down. Rogie was one of those guys that, even though he was 20, he looked like he was 47. I also remember Rogie being very highly recruited by everyone and LSU was elated to get him. I hope your bum was not him.

He did catch the first and only TD in that game in '87.

Did he drop another or am I missing the joke?

You mean like all black athletes? I'd believe Lebron was any of those ages.

He was working there at the latest in '99 when I left B.R., probably earlier. I had a friend who was visiting a friend in Broussard back in the day, and saw Rogie coming out of the shower... he returned to my other friend's room and decided he didn't need a shower.

What number did your bum have on? Rogie was number 80. I used to like hearing Keith Jackson call his name out.
"Number 80 Rawgee MaGeeeee"

nipples Rogie is a friend of mine.Although I haven't seen him in a long time,I did meet with friends about a month ago and we were talking about him.We played football and graduated together at Bogalusa High.Sean Smith is a close friend of ours and said he was doing good,so,I doubt you were talking to him.Btw Rogie is 6'4" and is still in descent shape.
