Rivals: "Let's give Kelly a fair shake"

Kelly worked wonders at Notre Dame with athletes nowhere near what he’s going to have in Baton Rouge. He won’t admit it but Kelly did everything possible in South Bend, maxed out the skill level there and was looking for a new challenge. This is it. And to think his coaching ability or plan is somehow being questioned before he even coaches a game - or has time to implement things - is ridiculous.
The LSU football program needed a dose of seriousness and now they have it.

Who is questioning his coaching ability? This is fained out rage and Rivals just trying to stay relevant. Rivals sucks pretty much.

Man, it was really tough for this guy to admit Kelly is a good coach. He tried to play it off like the fans are questioning him, but seems like he was trying to convince himself.
Funny how LSU could be such a successful program but still gets treated like a mid-major.

I love how the media has been drumming up this narrative that we as fans are going to not give him any time,we don’t like him,he doesn’t fit in, and we are gonna run him out of town after 2 years.Sure every team has unrealistic fans but I haven’t heard anybody say we are going to compete for a title this year we just want to see improvement.I think it will be easy to go 8-4 this year and I think majority of our fans would be happy with that year one.

Well there have been lots of media members and keyboard warriors out there who have questioned his ability to compete in the south.

They think we liked having colorful idiots like les and o as coach. It's insulting honestly. They think so low of Louisiana people they disregard that many lsu fans know good football and have longed for a real deal football coach since saban. That's where all the "bad fit" nonsense comes from. Lsu is one of the best jobs in football, and it finally has a coach with one of the best resumes in football
