Not a complete mock but still interesting. SIAP
Ranaudo at 13 to the White Sox
Gibbs at 17 to the Rays
Gausman at 26 to the Rockies

He just committed yesterday? I know it is a longshot, but hope we can get this kid, after getting screwed last year.

Not sure how much research these people did. The Astros drafted a SS in the first round last year, they aren't going to take another.

That's pretty irrelevant in the MLB draft

I would be shocked if he goes that high

Not really. They aren't going to use their top pick on a high school SS two years in a row, especially considering both project to stay at SS and how weak the Astros farm system is in most other areas. It would be different if one was expected to move or if there was a draft or two between them.

The kid is too talented to pass up
Yet they're predicting 7 teams to do exactly that.

I don't know...
I'll be very surprised if Machado falls that far. I definitely won't be surprised if the Astros snap him up, he's that good a hitter. You can always make room in the lineup for big-time hitters.

You can never have too many SS/CF, they can transition to other positions.

You draft best available period. If you end up with two big league guys at the same position, you trade one for other prospects or a piece you need to get in the playoffs. If you try to base your draft around what you may have now, you aren't going to do too well.

If Jio doesn't pan out then they'll draft another somewhere down the line once that scenario starts to become apparent (and he is barely hitting his weight right now). They only have one sure fire pitching prospect in the system right now, I think it will be a shock if they take anything other than a pitcher with the #8. Maybe at 19 they'll take the best available position player.

Per Rivals, but all of the hs players on the list Rivals is showing committed on 5/4. Must be a glitch.
