His stock isn't very high. Coming out early was a huge risk. There is a good chance he could have improved his stock, becoming a better receiver out of the backfield, showing better vision.

LSU RB Stevan Ridley received a second- to third-round grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Committee in January.

It's worth noting that NFL Network's Mike Mayock does not rank Ridley among the draft's top-five backs. Opinions seem to be mixed on the former LSU Tiger despite a breakout 2010 season. We've been impressed with Ridley's tackle-breaking ability and pad level, but he averaged only 4.64 yards per carry in his college career and was rarely used as a pass catcher. Feb 25, 4:45 PM

I would put good money that Ridley is still available after the 4th round.

- injury
- reduced production, Ware will be better than Ridley

FWIW - I read somewhere earlier that 13 NFL teams (including the Baltimore Ravens) had/have meetings scheduled with Ridley during the Combine. Gimmee a sec and I'll find a link (hope it wasn't some BS... like an agent or something - y'all know I'm not the type to just randomly post stuff).

FWIW - I think he'll get taken in the 6th (as somebody's compensatory pick).

Isn't he the most accurate prognosticator?

would be interested to see, but you almost have to wonder if undrafted isn't better than 7th round since you can better pick the right fit. Keiland probably benefited from this.

I'd jump up and down if the Saints took him in the 7th.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Terrell Davis went in the 6th round.

Pretty sure he had an "Undesirable" 40 time & was a Pro-Bowler.

Ridley went up against defenses that crowded the line of scrimmage. It's not like other defenses feared the 1009th ranked passing attack. It's incredible that he had such a high ypc average.

I think you may have seriously underestimated the impact the CBA/lockout will have on UDFAs. Regular ol' VETERAN Free Agents are handcuffed until this whole thing is resolved.

I feel sorry for him. He has to live his life pulling for Ohio State. How much of a let down would that be each and every year?

I posted it because some had questioned why he entered the draft.

Here's to hoping Ridley lands in Houston or Washington then.
