He has trimmed down again in the pros and has more burst and lateral quickness in the pros to hit the holes or cutback... Notice that all LSU backs do better or are better as a pro than their latter years at LSU. Moffet gets his backs heavy but they lose a lil mobility. Hopefully it won't happen to Hill next year and beyond.

i agree he's trimmed down a little in the pros, but you forget he was a fullback until charles scott went down against alabama. he needed the extra weight. and honestly, ridley isn't that much lighter now. he's only lost 5 pounds or so.

i think he'll end up having a better pro career than ingram and richardson, although much of the advantage for ridley is the team he's on. nonetheless, i've always thought he was the most nfl-ready back we've sent to the nfl since faulk. glad he's doing so well.

He was the 2010 LSU offense. Lee would make a few big plays in the passing game, but it was Ridley that carried us that entire season. Most underrated season of any Tiger in recent memory.

^This. I really can't believe it when I hear people (and there are a lot in our fan base) say that they don't ever remember him being that good while he was here. The guy was a stud and a workhorse in 2010. He got the bulk of the carries because he deserved them. He was our offense.

Absolutely! I have never seen another back at LSU that put so much effort into every play or get more yards after contact

^And this

Hester put as much effort but Ridley got more yards after contact IMO. Ridley was just physically more gifted than Hester. But I'll concede that they are equally great tigers. I don't think there is a Tiger Fan out there that doesn't love J. Hester. I just think Ridley was under appreciated for doing just as much if not more than Hester ever did as a tiger.

Loved both of them but Ridley > Hester...
