I'm all for PP, but someone needs to stand up and recognize the man-beast that is Stevan Ridley. He leads the SEC in rushing this year. Just saying. Now, if we could just get him some TDs...

Yeah I thought about this today. I know we have PP7 getting hyped, but Ridley is doing pretty well too

ridleys downfall is his break away speed. for him to be in the race he would have to bust more long runs

although the kid from oregon is putting up big numbers as well. oregon played their hardest game (stanford) and mich still has OSU, PSU, Wis, and Mich State.

You read to much and dont watch alot of games. His breakaway speed is fine. Had long runs for touchdowns 3 times this season including outrunning the cornerback on his 65 yarder against Vandy.

I dont remember a SINGLE run where he was caught from behind.

Performance doesn't matter as much for the Heisman as some people like to think.

Media attention is probably the most important aspect in a Heisman race. It's the only reason Tebow was in New York last year. Ridley isn't getting and is not going to get the media exposure needed simply because our offense is too ineffective.

If you have a diamond in a pile of shite, all you're going to notice is the pile of shite.

yes i watch him play. the only highlight reel run he had was against vandy. heisman voters will be impressed if he does something similar agaqinst the best in the sec. im not saying he not a great runningback because i definetly think he is one of the best in football. i was just simply stated why i dont think he will get the hype like the other players like robinson and pryor get

If LSU can find a way to continue to win, and I mean they have to beat pretty much everyone. Then he has a shot...remember that the Heisman has been going to someone who plays for the national title. So it's glory or nothing. Honestly though...he really has no shot.

Charles Scott led the SEC in rushing touchdowns in 2008. In fact he was tied for 7th in the nation. Toefield tied the SEC single-season record for rushing touchdowns in one season. Neither player was, nor should have been, considered for the Heisman. In fact both players had more touchdowns than Mark Ingram during his Heisman campaign last season.

Big exception was Tebow in 2007. However he hit a big milestone, being the first ever 30 pass td/20 rush td quarterback in NCAA history.

Can he last the year injury free? Will also depend on his performance in big games - Michigan vs Ohio State.
