Anyone else see his comments affecting his playing time?

"I was expecting to run the ball a little bit and put us a little closer to field goal range," tailback Stevan Ridley said. "That didn't happen. They also didn't call a run on the 2-point conversion (with LSU down 25-23 moments before recovering an onside kick). We're down on the goal line and need 2, and we decide (laughing) to throw two fades in a row? But I mean that's the game. That's not what coach Crowton wanted to call. That's out of my control."

We're seriously fricked up right now. Coaches dogging players, players second guessing coaching......this sucks.

with injuries to scott and williams, at this point he is our main guy to run the ball.

so....No, he won't be benched.

He might be, I can't believe they still allow Guilbeau to talk to players, nothing good comes of that.

Well they could always play ford and take his redshirt for one game.

I wouldn't put it past this coaching staff honestly.

What he said had to represent the majority of the team's feelings. They have to be feeling like they have idiots running the show.

That said, he needs to be mature enough not to say that in the media because it only makes things worse.

Your reading is the problem.

He's saying I thought we were going to run the ball, but THAT'S NOT WHAT COACH CROWTON WANTED TO CALL.

GC called the play, not Miles.

Thank God Stevan Ridley said something because the head coach doesn't have the balls to say they were bad calls.

Wow. I mean, all he is saying is the truth, the same thing everyone else (with a brain) is saying. But wow.

I could definitely see them trying to find a way to punish him for this.

We still have Russell to pound up the middle on dive plays if they bench ridley

Exactly.

I still think there's a possibility that the coaches punish ridley for his comments and take fords redshirt off.

That would be a monumental frick up

Need more info on this....

Like I said, I have heard Miles was calling most of the plays but he came out after the Ole Miss game and said he wasnt and that he "suggested" that they call a running play but Crowton was doing all the play calling.

I don't think Ridley will be "punished" for his comments insofar as playing time is concerned. However, he should've kept his mouth shut about that to the media.

If you read what Ridley is saying - he thought they were going to call run plays but that was not what Crowton wanted to call. Ridley is saying Crowton called the pass plays.
