I love RM, and would love to see him win it...But, can someone on here tell me what this nomination is based on? I'm not a hater, I just don't see it.

Every major back that has any decent shot is nominated. It's a nice honor. Production is on the field though.

All of them are just based off last year and what the "experts" predict for this year.

Obviously RM is the number 1 RB this year and he ran well last year so they predict him to have a very productive season as the starter, getting more carries per game.

Richard Murphy has a better chance of becoming the head of NASA than he does of winning this award. Get fricking real.

I like RM. But he has not done shite as an LSU Tiger. His biggest highlights have been in the spring game. The Doak Walker is for the top 2-3 elite backs in the country. Therefore, he has ZERO shot.

Damn, that's pretty harsh....but it's true. Didn't he blow his knee out last year or break his leg? Well here is to Richard Murphy having a productive year. Between injuries and waiting his turn behind Charles Scott and K. Williams I hope that guy runs for over a 1,000 yards because he is a good kid and deserves it.
