I was definitely surprised about the location and small size of the student section. You see so many great college venues dedicating an entire courtside as the student section. I guess it's a "chicken or the egg" debate...would more students attend if their seating was better and they were featured more?

The only thing I'd change is the atmosphere to a 3, it's really not that great unless it's a big enough game. Even a 3 may be a bit too good. Hopefully next year it's rocking

Meh. Nothing will be done about this.
I've sat in diff sections and I feel like some rows are def wider than others. One game this year I couldn't fit my legs, just moved a section over and I could fit.

When they changed the seats somebody screwed up. They are horrible and don't fit the space. Lost a lot of leg room somehow.

Students use to sit courtside. They moved it about 5 years ago and it has been a failure.

the disjointed student section is so stupid. Put them all in one area and the atmosphere will increase tremendously. LSU might have the worst basketball student section layout there is.

We need more raucous crowds (especially in the PMAC)
The team needs to win more close games.
The press people need to be moved out of the lower bowl seats next to the students. They are really killing the atmosphere.
They need to sell beer.

Exactly. 5 Years ago, the AD made a huge blunder regarding basketball. They raised ticket and concession prices and moved the students behind the goals just in time for the team to suck. The students first stopped going to protest the move, then they stopped going because the team was terrible. The few fans that remained were mostly off-putting to the rest of the student body, so students who did still attend refused to sit in the student section. The whole thing spiraled downhill in the span of only half a season. It's been 5 years since then and they are just finally starting to get some semblance of student support back. This is what happens when an AD takes his students for granted.
