@ Tenn
@ TAMU
UF
@ Auburn
Ole Miss
Tenn
@ Arky

If the season ended today we'd most likely be in the dance. I think we go 4-3 over this stretch and barely sneak into the NCAA's... How do you think we finish up and what do we need to do to make the tourney?

4-3 the rest of the way won't do it I believe.

I think we need 6 more wins including SEC tourney to get in. I think we go 5-2 in our regular season games left.

I really hope we go on a little run. I could see us winning any of those games. I could also see us losing any of them. I think we can get 5 of them though. Maybe 6. That would get us in. Otherwise, we still have the SEC Tournament.

The Arkansas game could make or break our season. If we can beat them it will boost our chances greatly.

agreed. Beating them would be a huge boost for our resume and it may very well come down to that game.

LSU Resume (as of today):

Overall: 17-7
Conference: 6-5
RPI: #52
Vs. RPI Top 50: 4-3
Vs. RPI Top 100: 7-4

Good Wins: UGA (RPI #27), @WVU (RPI #29), @Ole Miss (RPI #40), UMass (RPI #47)

Bad Losses: @Mizzou (RPI #186), @Miss St (RPI #183), Auburn (RPI #153)

Good news is that they would be in if it started today, IMO. And if they can take care of business from here out they should be in.

I agree that 6 is probably the magic #, esp if that includes a win over Arky.

Agreed. I believe it will take a minimum of 11-7 in conference plus 1 more win in the SECT to be considered a sure bet. It's a shame they've put themselves in this predicament of having to finish stronger than they've played in a while. Those losses to Mizzou, MSU and Auburn are just killers now.

Yes Randy they are killers...even win 2 of the 3 and at worst LSU is tied for second place.

It's so difficult to predict how this team will perform game to game. Jan 10th through the 28th was their best stretch in-conference. They went 5-1 with wins over Florida and Vandy on the road. 4-3 the rest of the way out may be attainable. But with the inconsistency and lack of depth, I could easily see 2-5 as well. SEC Tourney? Depends on the seeding and bracket.

I'm thinking NIT. Maybe a home game?

LSU must win it's home games and win @ Auburn. Then have one win from @ Tenn, @ TAMU, or @ Arky.

Toughest part of the schedule coming up. If LSU takes away all the positives that came from yesterday, things like confidence and team work, anything is possible.

at Ark is a sure loss, at Tenn and at A&M likely losses, plus we will lose one more game at home
