Much of the country would laugh at the prospect of rescheduling this game - talk to anyone going to the Super Bowl.

Well, most of the country actually has legit winter storms more than once every 6-7 years. Do they really excpect people in South Louisiana to be used to, or even slightly well versed, in dealing with winter storms?

That said, if the teams, officials and TV crew can get there, it's game on.

Just said on the news "DOTD says they will do their best to keep the roads open this time."

They may try, but they just don't have the equipment to deal with a mess like this, plus BR drivers are bad enough on a sunny day, much less icy roads and snow

I strongly doubt this will impact the schedule unless players, officials and TV are stranded.

That's the problem, I don't know where UK is staying, but we'll see several hours of sleet/ice/snow before it'd be time for them to head to the PMAC. I'm not saying it's going to be moved, but it's definitely not an impossibility.

The LSUAD is putting people in danger if they keep this game on as scheduled. Not so much for BR residents, but for out of town and out of state fans who want to see the game

Not really. It's not like any of those people HAVE to come to the game. It's their decision as to whether or not they want to get out on the roads.

It sucks for LSU if they don't postpone it because the crowd won't be anywhere close to what it could have been without the weather issues. I certainly wouldn't blame anyone for passing on the game. A reschedule to Wed. night would be better for LSU, but when you're dealing with TV and the fact that UK will lose a day in their schedule it's probably not that easy to just say "we'll play tomorrow".

All that said, unless every road to the PMAC from my house is closed tomorrow, I'll be one of the few and proud in the PMAC.

Yeah, lucky for me I live in the Garden District. Shouldn't pose any issues for me.

if they move the game do you think they would offer refund on tickets?

I would hope. They need to continue to do whatever it takes to try and get asses in the seats.

Maybe. If you're from the BR metro area, then you really don't have to go out of your way to make any big travel plans to get to the game regardless of if it's on Tues or Wed. People coming in from out of town are a diff story. If someone from say NOLA, Alexandria, Lake Charles, etc. scheduled vaction, PTO, or early leave on Tues., they may not be able to change those plans to Wed. thus making the ticket useless to them. T

The game will go on, but the crowd won't be there, lol. The most anticipated home game this year with talk of a full(ish) house for this game will likely be the lowest attended game of the year. Given the potential for icy roads and many shut downs I'd predict less than 5k. One good thing is the students may show up since there's no place to go and no classes.

Bridges may get a bit icy, but most roads will NOT be iced as the ground is too warm.

Both the SEC and UK want the game played Tuesday night at 8pm and so does ESPN. If UK can get from wherever they are staying to the PMAC, the game will be played.

Tuesday PM: Surface roadways will begin to see accumulation of ice, sleet, and snow. Elevated roadways and bridges will see continued accumulation of frozen precipitation.

Wednesday AM: Snow accumulation on top of frozen precipitation on all roadways.

Wednesday PM: Temperatures back above freezing around 12 PM. Thaw out begins.
