Yep. Love what I have seen so far. Hurd needs to bring it tomorrow.

Reminds me of that time earlier this season when people were calling Jared Jones a failed experiment.

What games did you watch this weekend where Hurd pitched?

LSU has the best pitching staff in the entire country. If the offense can get going in certain games, LSU goes back to back this season.

I think Hurd will thrive with the slightly expanded zone we’ve seen this weekend.

Wake forest still exists, with 3 all Americans on their staff. A&M leads the country in ERA. We’re most definitely top 5 but let’s pump the brakes a second

It’s also been nice to see the umpires this weekend have an actual college strike zone and not the thread the needle zone we saw most of last year.

Might be the best starting rotation in the country, but in that conference, we wont know until June. Hagen Smith scares me more than any of the three.

On March 2nd.

We're deep, really deep on the mound.

Wake is loaded, and so are about 3 or 4 other SEC teams. Get hot at the right time. That's baseball.

Don't sleep on the Hogs. They have Hagen Smith and the transfer from Texas Tech.

Jump & Holman just pound the zone. I dont foresee any control issues with them.

And the perks of being so deep, they have multiple guys that can go longer than an inning after the starter comes out.

It’s been a little harder to see with the 4 game weekends but it’s a cheat code on these normally scheduled weekends with 3 games

Ell you magnificent sonofabitch you just hit the nail on the head when arguing with some of the NegaTigers out there shitting on the middle relievers thus far.

My cousin was texting me last night with that bullshite about giving up runs late in the game.

I said "You MFer You! Last year at this time our relief pitchers were walking 5-6 batters every damned game."

I expect Hurd to thrive with a little pressure off of being the 1 guy for a bit.

He’s been pretty dang good until he ran into a little trouble, which I think part of was over pressure on himself.

And I would say at this point, we have a 1a, 1B and 1c starters right now, could definitely see Hurd back as the Friday night guy later in the season.

Holman, Jump, Coleman, Anderson, Hurd… that’s a lot of innings being eaten up potentially before you even get to Guidry, Loer, Ulloa, Ack, Herring… and then Shores and Noot return. It’s an unreal staff.

ETA: And I didn’t even include Cam, Bucknam, Primeaux, Moffit, Little…

This thread was about the lack of walks in the first two games of the series.

You really don’t see why mentioning someone who hasn’t pitched yet doesn’t apply here?
