Remember the good old days 2 weeks ago when our biggest concern was the kicker?

If you were anything like me, you could see the train coming the opposite way on the tracks and were simply bracing for impact.

this, i posted on here a bunch that i wasnt sure about our QB, OL, WRs, or RBs (outside Guice)

What i didn't expect was for the DL to be in as bad a way as it is or for O's Ole Miss issues with discipline and attention to detail to creep into the team quite as quickly as it did.

To be fair, this has been a problem for a while now. Just wasn't O. Miles' teams were heavily penalized.

Yeah I was highly suspicious that more serious problems loomed but I was trying to be optimistic at the same time. Looks like my gut instinct wins again.

while true, they weren't as pronounced as what we saw Saturday.

Also didn't expect the team to not play with toughness.

I noticed the OL issues during BYU. And I have always been suspect of Canada's offense.

But I tried to be optimistic and go with the flow.

The kicker was really the only thing that tRant universally agreed was an issues after the first 2 weeks, which seems quite silly now.

I am trying to stick with "Nothing is ever as good or as bad as it seems"

We need to respond to the adversity with focus and commitment... we have 2 weeks to work on it.

It's not the QB or RB's. It's the WR's dropping passes and the OL letting defenders into the backfield on runs.

Right.

I think you take penalties if the players are playing with aggression and flying to the ball.

But I'm guessing the lack of aggression somehow is Miles fault too.

LSU is currently averaging 90 penalty yards per game.

No LSU team since 2000 has averaged more than 69 yards per game.

There should be improvement and I don't expect the average to stay at 90 all year, but this season will probably surpass anything done by Miles or Saban by a comfortable margin.
