Some players take longer to develop than others

Kwon Alexander started in front of him. He also had a pick 6 this week.

Lamar Louis is also on an NFL roster.

And Welter played at MLB and was ultimately replaced by another MLB in Beckwith.

Debo is playing MLB in the NFL. Pretty sure he could've done it at LSU.

I've been saying this for years. You put the best players on the field and let them adapt. Also if a 5* comes in but the 3* is playing better you play him. It doesn't matter what you see him as if he can play you put him on the field and see what happens. Players need to held accountable. If they aren't producing or doing the things they are told especially in games you let the next man give it a go. If he doesn't work I bet that guy you just pulled out does the things you ask the next time. That goes for everyone. If they see they are being held accountable no matter who they thknk they are they will play the right way or sit. Just bc a player is faster and stronger doesn't mean the next player doing the right things won't be a much better FB player. LSU needs to be much more tough on these guys as for as accountability not just off the field but on as well. Have to be quick to pull them off the field and send that message to play the way you are taught or sit.

When I see guys not turning for the ball or jumping for the ball at its highest point it really strikes a nerve. Tells me they don't respect the coaching. And if they aren't going over these little things they need to start.

The Falcons were looking to add speed to their defense and Jones certainly fits that description. The problem is getting blocked too often in the running game and missing too many tackles when he gets to the ball carriers (105th in class in tackling efficiency, missing one of every 6.5 attempts). His overall grade ranked 129th among linebackers in the draft class and he was the 250th player on the PFF Draft Board on athleticism alone.
