Bama would get the NOD Chicken but we won't lose.

Looks like about 8 1-loss teams to me. Should be fun!

I agree...this LSU team is special. Arkansas doesn't have a defense like Bama.

Arkansas has played bad against bad opponents so if they would slip up against Tennessee or miss st, then lsu wouldn't even have to beat them to get to the SEC championship game. I think Miss St matches up well against Ark

Honestly, with the way Arky seems to play down to their competition (see Vandy and Ole Miss games), I can see Tenn or Moo State giving them a game. It'd be nice for them to be out of the picture by the time they arrive in TS.

I had no idea there was no big12 championship this year until yesterday.

Wasn't aware of the "must have 12 to have a championship game rule"

Is there any logical reason why Ou is ranked ahead of Oregon and Arky? I'm not seeing it.

Probably their "big" win over Florida State.
Seriously, the voters had them at pre-season #1 and refuse to admit they were wrong.

No, the game between Oregon and Stanford Saturday will most likely decide who's playing in the NORTH division in the Pac 12. I believe UCLA controls their own destiny in the SOUTH division after the upset of Arizona State last Saturday.

I see OK State losing at least one game this year, while I think Stanford has a great chance of getting passed Oregon and running the table. If they do, there's no doubt in my mind a Pac 12 champion Stanford should play in the NC game over a 1 loss Alabama team.

As long as LSU wins out, it's going to be a 3 team race for the #2 ranking. I only see Alabama, Stanford and OK State having a legitimate shot at making it to the NC game. Everyone else is playing for an automatic BCS bowl birth.

Final Poll Prediction

1. LSU 14-0
2. Bama 12-1
3. Oregon 13-1
4. Oklahoma St. 12-1

That would be crazy

How did Stanford manage their last 3 games at home? That's huge. Also where is Pac 12 Title game?

The game is played at the home of the team with the highest rank...Stanford or Oregon will be playing at home in that game.

2. Oklahoma State (9-0, 6-0) Sat, Nov 12 at Texas Tech Fri, Nov 18 at Iowa State Sat, Dec 3 Oklahoma

I see them going unbeaten. If they get to 11-0, they have the offensive tools to beat OU. Without Broyles, the OU All-American WR, I think the Cowboys do it. Also, note they have a BYE prior to OU while the Sooners do not. An extra week this late in the season to rest up and game plan may prove pivotol.

4. Stanford (9-0, 7-0) Sat, Nov 12 Oregon Sat, Nov 19 California Sat, Nov 26 Notre Dame Sat, Dec 3 Pac-12 Championship Game

If they beat Oregon this Saturday, then they go undefeated. This team is good and Luck is great. They have a 15-game winning streak and won 22 of their last 23 with their only loss being at Oregon last season.

quote:

5. Boise State (8-0, 3-0) Sat, Nov 12 TCU Sat, Nov 19 at San Diego State Sat, Nov 26 Wyoming Sat, Dec 3 New Mexico

If UGA keeps winning, and Alabama's non-conference wins (ie Penn State) start losing, which is likely, they will be making noise. America loves the Cinderella.

quote:

3. Alabama (8-1, 5-1) Sat, Nov 12 at Mississippi State Sat, Nov 19 Georgia Southern Sat, Nov 26 at Auburn Sat, Dec 3 SEC Championship Game* * - does not control destiny to reach SECCG

They will be flat as hell this Saturday, but I just don't think it matters against Miss. State.

6. Oklahoma (8-1, 5-1) Sat, Nov 19 at Baylor Sat, Nov 26 Iowa State Sat, Dec 3 at Oklahoma State 7. Oregon (8-1, 6-0) Sat, Nov 12 at Stanford Sat, Nov 19 USC Sat, Nov 26 Oregon State Sat, Dec 3 Pac-12 Championship Game

An interesting debate comes up with these two against BAMA. If these two win out, they won their conferences...it becomes very subjective when comparing conferences...especially Oklahoma. I don't recall any SEC-Big 12 games this season, except the Arky win over Texas AM.

Hardest schedules, out of that lot are:
1) Oregon
2) Stanford
3) Oklahoma
4) Oklahoma State
5) Arkansas
6) LSU
7) Boise
8) Alabama

I like how it looks for LSU, hate how it makes a rematch more likely.

If we have to play Alabama again, I would claim a title regardless of the outcome. I know the Tide would in that situation.
