Tigers,

Wisconsin has a similar issue (but lower).
What say you?
a) who cares? its a spring game
b) it matters and why is it like this?

Does it matter to ya'll if conference schools draw 4x as many fans to their spring games?

This.

Also, spring time, namely April and May, in Louisiana is a busy one. Festivals, weddings, etc and people wanting to enjoy a bit of nice weather before it gets miserable. I and most others can think of 100000s of things I'd rather do than go to the trouble of getting to the stadium to sit and watch a football practice. Fwiw I watched the first half on tv

I'm proud LSU fans don't go to the Spring game. Packed stadiums for Spring games makes a fanbase look absolutely retarded.

High attendance: "Heck yeah, were true fans."

Low attendance: "It's just practice."

It's whatever. Bring on the fall.

Its been like this for years. Plus having it on tv makes it worse.

Come September oct and nov that place will be packed to the max. At least for the first half

The first Spring Game I went to was in 1968 and remember it being about the same. Then they played on Saturday Night. People at the time did not know it but the 1969 LSU Team went 9-1 so we were seeing a very good football team being put together in 1968.

My answer is A. The only time I really hear anything about spring game attendance is during the spring, which tells me it doesn't matter.

Wisconsin doesn't have a baseball team. To retort, Wisconsin actually follows their basketball and hockey teams.

Sorry but April 16th was a crawfish cookoff 75 miles from Baton Rouge.

I chose $20 all you can eat crawfish from 45 different cookoff teams over a practice game.

It's practice and coaches don't want to show much in these anyway. Noting wrong with going or not going.

sorry read that as April 16th. It's in Slidell. Hospice Foundation of the South annual crawfish cookoff.
quote:

The Hospice Foundation's Crawfish Cookoff, one of St. Tammany's biggest, is an all-you-can-eat event with 60 teams boiling crawfish to compete for the title "Best Tasting Crawfish," juried by a panel of celebrity judges. Over 45,000 lbs. of crawfish will be boiled.
LINK$35 but well worth it!

Relative to what time period?
If you do some research you'll find it wasn't all that low.
This century, it's about 4th lowest during Miles era, but still beats all but one Saban era Spring Game attendances(2002 iirc).
LSU was 4th nationally in attendance that matters.
