since the park is used only for sec baseball & some hoover hs events - there is no reason - that the fences should not be moved in for next years event

Didn't the barons get a new park? Why not play there?

Or how about we quit only helping the Bama economy and move the tourney every year.

Best days of sec tournaments was when schools hosted. The sec parks are better than where it is now

Yep, downtown bham. Nice park but holds about 2-3 k less than Hoover. I think they should rotate it between Atlanta, Nashville, bham, & Nola.

If you are going to rotate it, why not Memphis? And where would they host it in Atlanta? Turner Field?

Anyway, this topic has been beaten to death, but Hoover is fine. Rotating the SEC Football Championship is a more pressing issue than this.

Memphis would work too. I like their park. I listed atlanta just as a geographic reference. It needs to bounce around for sure

I don't see how that park can sustain itself off of the SECt and hs events. I imagine they will try to do more though.

Trust me...you don't want it moved to downtown Bham. Nice park, too much crime.

Memphis, Chatanooga, New Orleans, Mobile, and Montgomery have nice minor league parks and Im sure there are more. It needs to rotate like basketball to garner interest. The crowds are horrible in Bham because redneck fans don't know they have a baseball team.

Regions Field is the name of the baseball park downtown (The Regions name was transferred to the new stadium.) Hoover Metropolitan Stadium is the name of the place where the SEC Tourney is played.

Regarding safety, there has only been one murder around there and that was a week before the park opened. And parking is a lot better downtown, riiiiiight. And if you DO get mugged, there are three hospitals within two blocks of each other. And, and...

Jackson, MS should be one of the venues on the list. Great ball park for the Mississippi Braves. It's 330 down the lines and 402 to center.
