Has this team done enough to secure a regional? I would like to think so, but do they have to win a couple if games to mans sure? I think they have to win the tournament to assure a National Seed.

Listening to Manieri on the post game show, he was talking that let's win a couple of games to guarantee that.

They play Tennessee. Should they start Lange or save him for a potential match up with Florida on the next day?

An SEC team has hosted a regional every time that team wins 19 conference games since they expanded to 64. The midweek losses hurt, but they do not hurt that bad

I am hoping that you are correct and that the NCAA does not have the mentality of let's spread the wealth around and have more conferences hosting regionals and Super Regionals

LSu plays Tennessee at 8pm, which means likely even later. If the win, then would play Florida again on Wednesday

Honest answer is yes we most likely have done enough to host a regional. Just beat the #1 team and have been on a hot streak. I understand your thought process with the committee so yea any win here on out will be good but i think we got the regional locked up.

it'd be some shite if Lafayette gets a regional in LA because they think they're giving the SEC too many... they have 7 host-worthy SEC teams

Ole Miss leads Texas A&M 3-2 in the top of 9th. They have likely wrapped a regional with a #6 RPI and series wins over Louisville and LSU and the announcers are saying they are a legitimate Top 8 team.

Vanderbilt has 41 wins. They are the. 6th seed in the SEC Tournament. They have a higher RPI than LSU. They also gave been in the CWS Finals the last two years in a row winning it in 2014. That us 6 regional host spots with the top 4 seeds. Will they give the SEC 7 regional host spots? I still think they need a couple of wins in Hoover.

I understand, but they don't always look at it that way. They look at the whole picture. LSU losses to Tulane twice and McNeese . They were all bad losses in that LSU was not competitive in any of those games as well as the loss to Lamar.

I think LSU still gets them a regional, but I still feel more comfortable if LSU can get a couple of wins in Hoover. All of the other teams mentioned have at least 40 wins.

Am I right that no conference has ever had more than 4?

So, does the committee ignore RPI? State is 12th, but everyone says they locked up a National Seed.

Baton Rouge Regional
1) LSU
4) Southeastern
2) ULL
3) Tulane

LSU will host. NC$$ needs the gate and will save on travel. LSU's penance will be a tougher-than-deserved Regional and a Super matchup at Miami.

Mississippi State won the SEC so they will be a national seed. The SEC regular season champion has never been passed over for a national seed.
