This is true, how does 2 of 3 from vandy get them to 17?

1+ wins in SECt. However, I don't think 17 is the magic number anymore after the OM series. If we win 1 of 3 against Vandy & get 2 wins in SECt, I don't think that will be enough to host

This team is very frustrating to watch. The amount of third strikes that they look at is astonishing to me. I understand all the other issues we have (pitching, errors, injuries, etc..), but c'mon! Swing the F'ing bat man!

Very un-aggressive at the plate. And they never steal bases.

Omaha is a pipe dream so what difference does it make
You want to lose a regional at home ?
We are a better team on the road

We went from regional hosting to going on the road in one weekend

It's a lot worse than that on paper.

We went from a regional host to a long, long, shot to be a Regional host that likely would need to include a sweep of Vanderbilt and a very deep run in the SEC tournament.

It's just not a reasonable scenario anymore.

Morgan has been injured and it has impacted his production at the plate.

When did Tre get hurt? I thought it was in the State series.

Outside of crews, Morgan, Daughty (who has been in a slump on both sides), Dugas, and Hilliard Paul left this team depleted in depth at key positions. In my opinion for not having a solid rotation on the mound, your best catcher being out most of the season, and two middle infielders struggling to field routine ground balls I think Johnson is doing fine.. imagine if we had a solid starting pitcher for Friday-Sunday?

Now think about this, if we get a solid SS next year, bring in a few stud arms, then have guys like floyd develop more, hasty, Dutton, Taylor, and a few others then bringing back the majority of this team outside of Daughty, reyzelman, and berry we can be dangerously good… I don’t keep up with recruiting but from what I have seen here and there we have some big time prospects committed if the draft doesn’t hurt us…

You got kids like Pearson and Stevo that’s gonna have great careers, I’d like to see drew come back and get a shot at second if Daughty leaves and hopefully he can work on his batting.

I sure hope you’re right but it’s a bad sign that he can’t win with a very talented roster just because it doesn’t perfectly suit his style

Lol, no true pitching staff, no catcher, no short stop, that doesn’t fit any coaching style. JJ’s future will depend on recruiting and player development

It's not even worth hypothesizing about. LSU isn't hosting a regional in one million years with a 15-15 SEC record. You're overstating the important and influence of the SEC tournament. At this point the only way the tournament helps LSU is if they take 2/3 at Vanderbilt AND win the SEC tournament. At 16-14 with an SEC tournament championship LSU would have a very slight chance of hosting a regional. That's the only way outside of sweeping Vandy.

No SEC weekend starter arms man, you need 8 MLB sticks to win when you got no arms... he has 3 MLB Bats. He's got some studs coming and Coleman will be back next year.

Out of picture regardless of Vandy showing. Hosts are basically top 16 and they are not close to being there.

Other than Crews and Berry, please tell me where all this great talent is. Somehow they keep watching 3rd strikes with runners in scoring position.

People conveniently forget that outside of the top 4 hitters in the order (Morgan, Crews, Dugas & Doughty), last year’s lineup was pretty much arse for most of the year.

They were a bubble team that barely got in as a 3 seed (albeit with a favorable draw), got hot at the right time and made a brief run. And they at least had some starting pitching.
