Going into the year, I had expected that Harris as a scrambler would play more of a factor than it has. In the first two games, the passing wasn't there so much but he looked like the legs could play a difference. Since the State and Auburn games however, the runs haven't been as effective despite nearly the same amount of carries per game. His escapability from the pocket if pressured could be something that plays a difference at Bama

State 5 rushes 48 yards 1 sack 0 sack yardage
Auburn 8 rushes 66 yards 0 sacks 0 sack yardage 2TD
Cuse 6 rushes 3 yards 2 sacks 21 lost yards 24 net
EMU 6 rushes 18 yards 2 sacks 9 lost yards 1TD 27 net
USC 6 rushes 11 yards 0 sacks 0 sack yardage
FLA 6 rushes 14 yards 0 sacks 0 sack yards
WKU 5 rushes -24 yards 1 sack 11 lost yards -13 net

Its important to consider that Harris isn't a true "dual threat" but a pocket guy with scrambling ability. My guess though would be that against Bama we see a few more designed runs for him than we have so far.

You should use the possessive case in your thread title.

So brandon harris has only been sacked 1 time in SEC play. Kid really comes to the party fully loaded.

I saw somewhere (on TD) where he is has the highest completion % under pressure.

Have to make an assumption here, and I will with some P&G glasses... he's taking shots when other QB's would have indeed pulled it down.

I too expected, and still hope to see more designed runs. There is a limit and balancing act there.

At the end of the day when you have LF7 AND that comp% under pressure, it seems BH6 running is the least desirable (or effective?) outcome FOR US.

He's done well at getting the ball out quickly if pressured or not trying to scramble right away and end up getting sacked like you see with some QBs who can run.

I prefer the 's for singular nouns ending in "s" myself, but I'll take what I can get.

Right. I think some of this is were not seeing a whole lot of designed runs because when you have LF7, you're not drawing up a lot of running plays that don't go to him. Also, it could be a reflection of the o-line being very good for Harris. He doesn't have to panic and pull it down. The big running plays haven't been there but his mobility has certainly played an impact. Think the long touchdown to Dupre against Florida and the roll out to Dural last week against WKU. He's become very good at moving the pocket while still looking downfield.

I've been very impressed with this. Like you say, QBs that have the running ability often times will jump right into scrambling.

So he's not running good enough now? Seriously frick you. Watch the games, you can tell he has great mobility and knows when to get out of the pocket.

Well that's not an overreaction or anything. Seriously, read the thread.

These stats keep using this word "net" - I do not think it means what they think it means.
