Recruiting Coordinator: what do they do?

It is my understanding that they manage the roster and coordinate the coaching staff who do most of the actual recruiting.
I keep hearing about how great of recruiter Polian is. I think he’s good at the roster management and talent evaluation which makes sense because that’s what his dad did. Seems like that can be done as an administrative role which would remove Polian as a coach and actual recruiter and make him more like an NFL director of player personnel. This would allow LSU to hire a full time Special Teams Coordinator.
Am I off base in my thought process?

Polian has the title. Jon Randle Belton is who puts in the work.

IDK what the answer will be but I’m pretty sure it will be addressed and out on more solid footing this off season. I looks from the outside that there a at least 3 missing or lacking parts. Punt returner, kick off returner/RB/receiver, at least one maybe two specialist linemen.
