I think any LSU fan with a brain agrees with this at this moment.

maybe but MOST fan base would have done the same thing.. i think being down 31-3 at home to a small out of conference team on a cold night would propel a lot to exit early.. I wouldn't bc I always believe in comebacks.. but just saying..

Reese Davis is a Bama homer. He needs to stick to reporting and stop making catty comments about LSU or its fan base. He was laughing at the fact that LSU was losing in the first half.

Price hikes have gentrified Tiger Stadium. I assume a good percentage of people there are there as a social event.

At one point in time, a decade or so ago, you actually had to be a little bit nuts to even believe in LSU. I think those kind of fans have been priced out

bullshite. Holtz said the same thing. It was the only thing the ESPN LSU haters had left after the comeback, short of "wow, their coaching staff sucks."

Rece is a cock sauce. He can't call our coach by his real name. And he is a Bama grad.

They are always quick to point out LSU's faults weather it be on the field or with our fanbase. We are just like our coach, we can't win for winning.

It was 35 degrees with the wind chill and the team was down by 28 and had played a really shitty 2.5 quarters of football.

It's over. We won.

It depends what you mean by suck as a fan base. Passion, spending money, love for team, we are probably one of the top fan bases for these things. Staying during apparent blowouts, dealing with bad weather, being negative, we are a very bad fan base at these things. It is what it is.

No they wouldn't have, and it's not just this game. Happens all the time. Other teams' fans seem to realize that there are only 8 home games per year. That's 8 hours of football to actually watch. We live and breath football for about 350 days a year, but can't show up to "bad" games and leave at the moment of adversity.

I don't really give a shite because this is what you get when you have outrageous ticket prices. True fans that would show up no matter who we play are priced out.

I know it's the price of big time football, so I'm not knocking it, but it's a fact.

That is exactly what I was saying when I heard Reese Davis and Holtz comment on people leaving.
They were drooling at their desk when they reported LSU was losing 31-3. Then when the Tigers came back and won the game, the only crap they could spew out was that "There's nobody there". This crap with ESPN is obvious. Those heads with assholes for mouths LOOK for shite to knock LSU. Hell....did anyone hear anything about Louisville fans bolting in their home game last night? NO. ESPN can bite my hairy arse....every frickin one of those Dollar Tree Journalists. frick em all.

How in the world is the guy a homer? He never even mentions that he went to Bama. BTW...his comments were dead on.

My daughter brought this up on the way home: If we were WINNING 31-3, people would've left too.

She's right.

But, it was awfully cold.

Its one thing to call out a team and its coaches for their performance on the field but for talking heads in the media to ridicule a fan base is crappy. "True or Not" Makes me think they are trying to affect the recruiting trail.

Really hard to fault fans who left. It wasn't just that we were losing, or that it was cold--the team wasn't playing well, and it looked for all intents and purposes like the season was going down the drain.

I almost wonder if having the fans leave put less pressure on the team and helped them turn it around. Either way, I'm glad they did, and hope they can continue it next week.

ESPN's coverage used to be good. Used to be.

It is what it is. If the fans bail the media will call you out on it.

Reminds me of a story a LSU die-hard told me. He is one of those guys who hasnt missed a home game in like 35+ years and stays till the end.

UF was beating LSU in the early 90's by like 40+ points to UF and ESPN's sideline reporter Adrian Karsten went up into the south endzone to do a story on LSU fans leaving early. My LSU fan friend went nuts. I'm talking a guy in his mid 50's then, took a swing at Adrian and got arrested. It was several years later when Adrian commited suicide, and my friends response was, "Great, God D#mn that ignorant Son of a B^tch, I'm gonna mail a thank-you card to his wife"
