Vol navy you are the salty bitch but i do give you credit for coming on here where you can be educated by fans of a real sec fan base. Nobody except ut fans think that game against Georgia was close . Dont worry you guys can prove your point when you beat us in SEC championship game oh thats right you wont be there . I can only pray we see you in play offs we are way better now .

We play GA in three weeks. Worrying about a game of what if? I just don’t understand the way some people think about this.

No one here is a player or a coach for LSU. Hate to break it to you but we have zero outcome on how the team prepares for Saturdays. We can look ahead all we want.

By your logic we shouldn’t be doing our jobs everyday because it’s taking away time from me worrying about the next game.

In fairness, if I was a Tennessee fan I would be absolutely livid if we got in over them

Seems to be the Bama fandom's take in general, btw. None of them want an SEC-W team not named Bama in the CFP. But concomitantly, none of them are giving LSU a snowball's chance in hell vs UGA. An LSU win in ATL would be a tectonic game-changer.

transparent? It's a computer formula that very few people know. And it's tweaked every year.

What would the computers do with an undefeated Group of 5 team? If there's no "eye test" or human assessment of that team (because they play in a lesser conference against crappy teams, compared to the top conferences) would the computer put them in the playoff?

See, computers can't evaluate context and intangibles that are important in evaluating and ranking teams.

Having some kind of computer formula is fine, as a data point (much like the NET basketball rankings) but it would be moronic to rely solely on a computer formula for spitting out the top 4 football teams. There's far more nuance to that decision, especially when college teams only play 12 (or 13) games with very, very little cross-conference matchups.

Your understanding of computers is clearly limited. They can be programmed to take into account the strength of schedule as well as myriads of other data. A program designed as a Bayesian inference platform could account for any reasonable factor. It would be an open source program in that anyone could look into how it performed.

Here's one explanation - doesn't like LSU because he's SVP's bitch at the office!
