It's clear this was not a team built to win extended tournaments like the CWS. We won one and got that monkey off the back.

Vandy is just head and shoulders above LSU at this point and know how to win. Sure I wish we would have beaten TCU but it just wasn't going to happen, winning 3 straight without Lange. It's all about managing expectations. There is a fine line between accepting less than perfection while still striving for it. It's no longer fun if every pop fly or walk produces anger. It's college baseball and this is a damn strong team and program. We got damn close and will try again next year.

When you go home early things didn't work out by definition. We were poised to get another one this year but could not close it out. But it was still a great season.

vandy beat TCU 1-0.. and was nearly no-hit

vandy was going to lose to CSF as well.. but they caught a massive weather delay to the next day and CSF couldn't restart their starter.. this proved big as CSF came back late..

Vandy basically was getting shut out at the plate

when the count really should have been 1-2 and a dirt pitch.. ump didn't call the strike.. hitter had a 2-1 count. pitcher threw right over the plate and vandy guy put it out.

vandy is not head and shoulders above LSU this year. they do have two dominant starters.. but i assume Vandy is working TCU at the moment? LSU is very capable of doing the same.. it's baseball.

Vandy is actually not as impressive as you make them out to be. They are actually very similar to LSU.. except LSU has a team has far better average.

It's 7-0 top 7.

Maybe man to man LSU is equal or even better, but Vandy has deeper pitching and peaks at the absolute best time. Give them credit as it's becoming a pattern, like UConn in basketball.

Youre right. this team couldnt win 6 out of 7 against these incredible teams. Great fun team but not enough power hitting or pitching here at the end. But i enjoyed their swag the entire season. Getting to Omaha is acceptable any year.
