Realistically, how long are Aranda & Canada here?

I cannot recall a college football team with such touted coordinators that Aranda & Canada are at present. Not just local or regional media, but even the national media speaks very highly & OFTEN about the qualities of both coordinators.

What is the Rant's opinion on how long either coach stays given:

a 10 win season
a < 10 win season
a > 10 win season

?

AND if/when they go, who comes in next...?

pellini was only here 3 years. thankfully we won the natty his last year.

this is arandas 2nd year! it may not be fair but we need to win a title before he leaves. could be as soon as after next year!

Canada wants to be a HC

Huge reason he came here with free reign

Not sure Aranda wants to be a HC

The absolute worst thing that could ever happen is Aranda going be head coach at a Texas A&M or Florida.

People say this a lot but I really think he could be the next Saban type of coach. We absolutely can not let him go

i agree. he can call one side of the ball and is great at it. we just cannot expect to keep getting damn good DC's. i think we have been very lucky. saban/willie B combo, then pellini,(forget malloveto) chavis, (forget steele) and now aranda.

He's kind of coach in waiting based on the assistant "promotion".

If you have Aranda as a head coach you never have to worry about a defensive coordinator. Good Offensive coordinators are much easier to find IMO

i would add chavis as a 'forget'

that guy needs nfl talent littered in his defense.

I think Aranda will be offered a Head Coaching job after this year. How do you counter that if you're LSU espicially if we have a good year, it's not like you can just get rid of O.

If Aranda wants to be a Head Coach, there really isn't much we can do about it

maybe we shoulda offered internally to aranda? if he did not want to be HC then why now? it is only a question he can answer. oh we can get rid of anybody doesn't mean it goes over well. that is the problem joe alleva got himslef into!
