Opening day of baseball is ~1.5 months away. Given the returning talent from last year, what are you guys' predictions for the season?

Here are mine:
Runner-up SEC Regular Season.
SEC Tournament Champs.
50+ wins
Lange - SEC pitcher of the year

...

frick it. LSU wins it all!

I'm so ready for baseball I've been listening to coach interviews from other schools just to hear some chatter.

We beat everyone so bad they cancel next season and give us two NC trophies.

This is one of the best teams LSU has had in a while from a returning starters stand point.

The only question mark is the #3 pitcher. No idea who it will be, but it's going to be crucial this season with a lack of bullpen depth.

Doesn't matter. LSU will eliminate everyone from regular season play.

Early relief will be as strong as I can remember ever. Depth is the only issue but at least their arms will be fresh. Surely a couple will emerge, especially with this great signing class.

If we get a third starter the sky is the limit.

I think it's very realistic to expect this team to make it to Omaha. Once there, though, it will come down to our pitching depth like always. The lack of a legit 3rd and 4th starter will again be trouble.

Not hosting, and winning, a regional would be a big disappointment. Omaha should be expected. This team's loaded.

We lose to at least one Louisiana school.

Win every other game.

Agreed, hopefully they are able to develop guys like Gilbert, McKay, Bain, and/or one of the big three incoming FR into those roles. Sure would be nice to see 'jackholestaff' take the season off...

Really looking fwd to seeing what type of season Deichmann can put together from the plate. I think he has the potential to be one of the top slugging %/RBI types in college BB.

The usual scenario...

At least a Super Regional. But it depends on injuries, luck, etc. Hopefully we'll make it back to Omaha.

Win the west, win SEC, win SEC Tourney, win Regional, then Host SR but lose against that "hot eastern Kentucky tech" team.

Or, win the SR against the "hot eastern KY tech" team, but go 0-2 in Omaha.

One of those two.
