LSU will face a solid Wisconsin OL with two new DT's. That might get ugly, but I have my fingers crossed that the new guys are ready for prime time

While true, I think LaCouture played extremely well for a true Freshman and showed a ton of promise. The kid is going to be almost a guaranteed starter next season.

10-2 or 9-3 is about right.

We could beat Bama and still have 2 losses. Any game we come out looking like we did against Ole Piss we could lose. 10 wins will be a good season.

There is nothing in the expected 2014 defensive front seven that says: DOMINANT. At least, not yet.

The 2013 LB's did not shine this year, but another year of coaching may make a marked difference.

The 2013 DL was above average. With the DT's leaving, it becomes a huge question mark, although I will say that I thought Ego and Freak played far below expectations in 2013.

Completely disagree. By LSU standards the past 10 years, this was one of the weakest DL's based on performance.

Our DT's, while talented, were underwhelming, and the DE's showed some promising moments, but were routinely ineffective.

I think part was scheme, but most of it was players either being injured or not following their responsibilities. Next season will be a bit better and it will be interesting to see how it turns out.

LSU's DBs in 2012 struggled, but were bailed out by better DL and LBer play.

In 2013, we saw the results of what happens when the DL doesn't perform above average, but to their credit, the DBs improved greatly over the course of the season.

By above average, I meant above SEC 2013 average.

I totally agree that LSU's DL was far below the standards set at LSU since 2002.

LSU's defense struggled against teams that offered a balanced pass/run attack (ole Miss, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas). LSU's defense played well against teams with a one-sided attack (Texas A&M, Auburn).

IMO, this is the result of having more talent than experience.

Guys I know i am a bama fan, but there is no way Harris takes over for Jennings his freshman year unless Jennings has an injury. Every year the next stud qb is always the best on campus but it rarely ever happens that way. Jennings is going to make the LSU offense more difficult to contend with because he provides a definite running ability that was painfully missing in Mettenbergers game.
