Real Issue

Chavis was tired of LSU. He's a grumpy old bastard, and he didn't like to recruit. All he wants to do is stay to himself and coach defense. That's it. Dude has always hated the spotlight and the media, and he just wants to coach. He can do that at aTm because they have plenty of recruiters and gadgets and social butterfly's.

LSU wants more than just a D coordinator. They want a representative of the University and a high level recruiter. I think Chavis was being asked to do more fluff than he wanted, and he got out and went to a place where he can hide himself in a hole and come out and coach up some D, and then go back into his hole. He has the personality of a bear, and I'm fine with him leaving. If he's not a Tiger than he's Tiger Bait. If he doesn't want to be here, screw him.

LSU has had great defenses since 2003, and we will continue to have them. I ain't worried.
