If your point is that the entire offense sucks, I'm on board.

My point is that the AJ v Harris thing, like every other QB controversy is getting way too much airtime. If you watch the game, as I'm sure everyone on this board did... there are way more "causes" to the loss than you'd conclude if you were just a casual reader here. IMO, the OL injuries were huge, special teams are bordering on a joke (both sides), the defense still has issues (last drive of Bama (when it counts) and the early part of Arky), WR drops, etc. etc.

The irony in all of this is that I am actually a fan of Harris getting playing time! But making AJ the fall guy for where we are now just doesn't make sense.

I'd like to know what Cam is doing BEYOND a "fix the QB" strategy.

Please. The ball should have been out of Jennings hands and into the tight end by the time this frame is frozen! That's the point!

0 points. The defense did what they were supposed to do for the better part of 4 quarters. They limited Arkansas' strength. And held them below their season averages:

PASSING YARDS
199.989th Overall
RUSHING YARDS
232.922nd Overall
POINTS FOR
34.036th Overall
POINTS AGAINST
22.227th

This is what they did against LSU rushing:
Att Yds Avg TD Long
38 95 2.5 2 11

This is what they did against LSU passing:
Att Cmp Avg TD
27 16 6.3 0

This was widely an offensive blunder:
Jennings' numbers
Att Cmp Avg TD
22 12 4.0 0

Leonard Fournette (157 att 745 yds 7 TDs) 5 carries

Terrence Magee (88 att 471 yds 3 TDs) 7 carries

Darrel Williams (61 att 280 yds 3 TDs) 6 carries

Anthony Jennings 12 carries

This simply can't happen in 4 Quarters!! Especially if you're a run first team. And how does your leading running back and scorer end up with only 5 carries through 4 quarters in any game ever?

Exactly. More than 99% of the KIDS on this board never played FB outside of the front yard with their family, yet they know everything. None of them would last 1.9 secs on the field.

Jennings doesn't get to go under center until about 6 seconds are left. He never gets enough time to read the defense. They take entirely too long to get plays called in, then expect a guy to spot the weakness in the defense in 3-5 seconds before a delay of game.

In the coaches defense, they're running a check-with-me. Because they run many plays out of the same formation, the coaches are calling the play at the line based on the defensive formation. One of the frustrating parts of this is when Kragthorpe or the other guy sending the signals in, call part of the play wrong. I've saw them (AJ and BH) several times this year giving Kragthorpe an ear full on the sidelines after plays.

With 6 seconds left, AJ has already been told what it looks like the defense is doing without looking. When he and the receivers are not together (after the check-with-me) on their site adjustments it makes for many WTF moments. These are normally the plays where he forces the ball to 83 while an uncovered receiver runs to an open area of the field. Equally as frustrating is when AJ sees the blitz coming and checks it down for a 2 yard completion on 3rd and 8.

...if 2 hours before the game, we announced Beckwith was out for the game and didn't make the trip, and Hunter went out on the first drive; what would we be saying today?

For starters, the score would have likely been different and more tilted toward a blowout (still a weak offense? granted.) But the narrative would certainly be that Chavis and the D have regressed (just like the rant did after Auburn).

...and the point above about the inability to make real time decisions...only gets worse when you're down two on an alleged strong (but arguably developing) OL
