The overt anger is palpable.

Interesting, because according to the scoreboard, A&M's defense had its best night against a SEC opponent.

That was quick. Just lurking to see when I would call you out so you could bust out your canned response instead of responding.
The overt hatred and deflection of discussion is also palpable.

You're really trying very hard to portray me in a certain way. It's very admirable to a certain extent (i.e., you're obviously very dedicated and focused), but also very sad. Why are you so concerned with my view of a field goal?

However, there is a group of les miles fans that are very similar in their fanaticism for a man above all else, and maybe you, OP are one.
To prevent some simple minded warping of my analogy, I'll expressly state that I'm comparing certain segments of two fan bases here. I am not saying that miles is like joe pa.
I just find the hoops that some of you jump through in Miles's defense.
This has never EVER been the case for anyone in regards to Les Miles. It's one of the most ludicrous arguments made on this board.
The reason some of us defend the fricking guy, is that for the vast majority of his time here's he's earned it. Period. I'd roll out the numbers but what's point? I'll only be told that the best run in the history of the program ought to have been better...and who could argue with that kind of logic?
Outside of that, some of us continue to do so because there has always been a very large, obnoxious and frankly wrongheaded contingent of LSU fans that have bitched and moaned about the man since the first day he got here. Les Miles did the worst thing ever...he took over for a guy named Nick Saban. What a shitty thing for him to be...NOT Nick Saban!
Miles is not and never has been above criticism. I've certainly had my share this season...but I hesitate to even get involved in pointing those concerns out because to even do so I'd have to get at the back of the line behind all of those who have had pitchforks in hand and torches lit since that Monday night back in 2005 when LSU lost to TENN after being up by 21 at home...and have NEVER gotten over it.
There's no fricking way I'll willingly be associated with those assholes.
No one likes Miles more than the like LSU...pick another complaint.

I'm sorry, did I come into a thread you started??
Oh, no. You saw my thread title, and immediately rushed here to defend those that hold the position I called out. It's a logical conclusion that you are one of those that hold that position.
Again, I have no clue who you are or how you post other than your couple of posts in this thread.
And from those couple of posts, it's clear how you feel.
I don't have to portray you in any light at all. Your posts do that perfectly fine or their own

rantards have very low self esteem. they pick on miles etc b/c they have to turn off their own self criticism.
rantards are very sad people. i pray for their self-inflicted misery to go away.
i think i read it in the bible:
haters gotta hate.

so you disagree w decision to kick
You are lumping those that didn't like the kick with anyone that disapproves with miles in general. It's par for the corse for the miles pumpers, but also a common misconception too.
You are not able to solve the riddle that this coach has had more than eight years to get the offense right. But even when we had nfl talent on offense, then he wasn't able to piece together a good defense together to compliment that offense. That means recruiting, then developing every position to where you are not in the position to have to decide on kicking or playing one more play ...or keeping time outs.....we didn't have any.
But we have a long line of have nots, vs haves when it comes to qbs. Also there is a long line of Garret's, Keils and rettigs etc that didn't work, but yet this is the best we have.
Meanwhile, newer sec coaches are coveted by other programs while we can't give ours away. You'll defend him and or his preparation until it's too late. With the win, we are still only 9-7 in the sec in two years. That's embarrassing.
But to boil down the LSU lovers vs the miles lovers on one kick before the half is utterly amazing. It actually puts you in a pathetic group. There's way more to it than that.

Nah, I had my own WTF moment, but that passed quickly once I thought about the risks of running another play. And I'm sure not still posting about how dumb it was the next day.....after WE WON.
But of course, I am one of the few that doesn't seem to think Jennings is the worst QB alive and understand why he's playing over Harris right now.
This thread is calling out the hypocrisy of those that skewer Jennings on a daily basis, yet now ridicule our coach as some clock bungling moron for kicking last night instead of trusting that same QB to run another play.

You see, here is where your feigned objectivity cracks.
You criticize me for "defending" Miles, as if the decision to kick needed defending, while slipping in the irresistible jab of suggesting we can't "give away" the coach that has won at a higher rate than any other history of this program.
You may "covet" other SEC coaches, although other than Saban I'm not quite sure who that would be, but don't speak for me.
I'll take Miles over Sumlin, Malzahn, Freeze, Mullin, or any other of the dozens of flavor of the week coaches you coveted over the years that have come and gone throughout Miles tenure while he continued to win more than anyb of them.
To suggest that anyone could do what Miles has done, when in fact no one has in over 100 years, is quite riduculous, and would be funny if it didn't have the unfortunate effect of harming the program you claim to love.

NO way should AJ have been on the field with 12 seconds left. It was a disaster waiting to happen. Miles knew it and took the points - rightfully so too ......
if thats the case, then he shouldnt be our QB. I know us as fans dont trust him. But if the coach even doesnt trust him, why is he our starter? lol

LMFAO he gets payed 4.3 mill and chooses JENNINGS NOT US... So its funny that he does not even trust him to throw a fade before half...

It's a public message board, brah. This internet thing can't be that new to you.
And please, please show me where I "defended those that hold the position you called out" (hint, I won't wait around, because I've mentioned the field goal once in this thread). Your conclusion is not as logical as you seem to believe.

You won't speak your mind and feel forced to take a position more strongly than you normally would because you don't want to be associated with a certain group of people?
I'd stop worrying so much what other people think and speak your mind. The op has done to me what you are scared of. I'm a big boy and will get over it.
