knock on wood but Rozier didn't impress me when I watched him especially his arm was innacurate, Stidham would be at the top for me but potentially Tua but who knows with him yet

Considering what fitz did to us last year.. he has to be higher in your list, I agree with DCtiger

Yeah that’s one game tho. Down the stretch, he actually had one of the worst passer ratings in the league

Tua that high, based on one half of a football game?

yeah, especially if you're going to consider the oline each will be behind. Tua is def the most dangerous. He might be a bit fragile, though.

Y’all are giving Fitz way too much credit just bc State smoked our arse last year. Tua or Fromm are first by a long margin.

This is pretty much where I am.

Stidham is #1 on my list by a fair margin. I honestly think playing Auburn on the road will be the toughest game we play all year. Alabama has never blown us out at home under Saban but that Auburn game could really get ugly if we look as unprepared early in the season like we did last year.

The rest are all kind of lumped together imo. Tua has a ton of talent but is also largely unknown. But he will have the best supporting cast around him. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Hurts at least in packages if this game is close, similar to JJ coming in for the GOTC.

From is obviously very good but was more of a game manager with their outstanding running game last year. He could take a step back this year without that to lean on. I need to see Chaney groom this guy before I’ll be afraid of him doing a lot against Aranda in Tiger Stadium.

Fitzgerald is a really good dual threat but I have to think Aranda will significantly rebound from last year’s showing against him. Also, without Mullen is he the same guy? I put Rosier in this same category. Good runner but average passer. Richt will have him well prepared though.

Starkel and Ta’amu are dangerous. Honestly I thought OM could have beaten us last year if they hadn’t forced an injured Shea back in last year. Taamu moved the ball well. They are not a good team and their coach is just an interim guy so I don’t fear them game planning us (interim coaches amirite).

If Jimbo can develop Starkel he might be the biggest threat we see all year. He played very well as a freshman and Jimbo should have him prepared. That said, there isn’t much around him to help, and their D will still be trash. If A&M snaps their streak this year O is a dead man walking because it will only get worse going forward in that series.

Franks is dogshit but we know Mullen can work wonders so we will just have to see what happens.

Kelly is a complete unknown as is Morris at this level. Arkansas has a long way to go but it will be interesting to see how they look this season.

Stidham has the best arm. Fromm doesn’t really scare me at home. We should rebound vs Fitz but he’s a terrific athlete and I love their coach’s scheme.

7. A&M, Florida & Texas QB’s are all unknown. There’s talent and all have good QB coaches now.

I’m basing it off of 5 things:

1. Talent- 5 Star in high school that carved up elite competition.

2. Eye test- Watching him in limited action he has all the tools and a rocket arm.

3. Competition- Jalen Hurts may not be a great QB but he was the SEC OPOY. Tua beat him out.

4. Coaching- Saban keeps praising this kid and he’s going against Bamas defense every day. The best defense he’ll play throughout the year, he plays 5 times a week. Also I trust Sabans evaluation.

5. One half of football- On the biggest stage possible he came in as a true freshman and led a comeback, surrounded by other true freshman, against one of the best defenses in the country to win the national title.

If a kid from LSU did all that, y’all would be saying he should be the favorite for the Heisman.

Why is he ranked so high? He literally had an Anthony Jennings vs Arky circa 2013 moment and suddenly he is ranked as #2? Bama’s strength is their defense. I’d pump the brakes a bit before annointing Tua as the GOAT.
