Good question. His name seems to be forgotten when talking about the staff next season.

Do you think he'll be cut from the roster?

I have no idea at all...I just haven't heard one word mentioned of the kid. I know he underwent surgery, but that is the extent of the talk about Zeigler.

Nothing for this year, just how he might fit in next year. He was going to get a little mid-week action early on. The staff should be deep next year, so Tommy John might keep him from really contributing until '11. Maybe he could provide a little offensive pop off the bench, though.

Rather not because not verified. Just ball park talk! Hope not, but not suprised. There are hundreds of Randy's and one LSU. Tough if your on the bubble. Draft did not help his cause with Colvin-lhp going late. you never know! I just like to see kids do well and this is a tough one if it plays out that way. JUCO or done with the new transfer rules.4-2-4

You're right. His recovery is going far better than anyone thought.

I sure hope so, because with the ever-shrinking rosters, as mandated by the NCAA, guys who can pitch and hit are going to be very valuable.

What was the actual injury? It seems pretty catastrophic. The day of the game they said a "popping in the elbow."
