Can you hear/see the band if you sit in the chairbacks in section 614? I live out of town and taking my son to his first game this weekend. Thanks y'all.

They don't have the West uppers I sat in 1 time. The band you could not hear then. But I believe the reason the Band is in the position it is in now is so the West upper can hear them now.

Yeah. And it's also a great view from up there. Only thing you will really be missing is the atmosphere, which probably won't be anything like it typically is anyway.

If it’s just you and your son (or anything less than four people) just wait until about a half an hour before the game and you can get sideline lower-level seats for about $30 on Stubhub.

I'm taking my son to his first game too. We're next door in 613!

Generally yes. Not as loud obviously, but that's ok.

And tbh, midfield west upper seats are about the best there are from an actual watching-the-game perspective. Way better than end zones and East Upper, and still better than lower midfield due to the better look angle.

Unless one of y'all's eyes suck. Mine don't but I can imagine that being an issue.

You can but not like the lower bowl. If you haven’t bought tickets yet spend the extra for the lower bowl.

Just hope fog doesn't roll in! We were in the UD one game and you could barely see the field at times, much less what was happening!

Two of my tickets are in the UW. You will be absolutely fine. Can hear the band very well. They moved the band to center north endzone years ago to solve that issue. I love the lower bowl of course, but the view from the UW is great! Often, you will see an interception develop from the time the ball is snapped it seems. It's a great view. Have a great time with your son!

Keep your balance. If you trip and fall, you will hit the fifty.

Don’t forget to bring two Ziploc bags. Walk with your son to the top of the section and show him how a man executes a piss balloon toss.

We had season tickets in WU with seatbacks for years and loved them.
