I know it was hard to see because Andrew, and Mark crossed when the ball was caught. I couldn't tell from my seat either, especially when Andrew relayed the ball back to the infield so quickly. I only knew he caught it when I saw the base runner digging back to 1st base.

It was hard to see. That's when a good announcer postpones his final call before announcing it.

Yeah I agree. I do think he is a good color guy for baseball. Seems to know his stuff pretty well but as the play by play guy I'm just not sure he's exciting enough.

He's just ok as as color guy as well. He's knowledgeable...but if you compare his delivery to even someone like Rantz, it's night and day.

His value is in his knowledge and opinions. I like him for that. But, he has very little broadcast talent.

This will date me but I once heard John Ferguson call a pass in an LSU football game as almost incomplete. So I'm wondering if it's complete or intercepted. He finally got around to telling it was complete.

Hanigriff thought he dropped it, then he couldn't decide. Hawthorne had to correct him. It was terrible.

And you're being kind with that description.

Wow, you guys are some harsh critics. Just listened to it. Was it a great call? No, but it wasn't that bad either considering the circumstances. Hanigriff thought the ball came out, then wasn't sure. Having seen the play I can understand how one might have gotten confused.
