Bayou - you need to take your man-crush on Lee and get out of here. He has had opportunity. He is a loyal Tiger and we should be greatful that he can jump in when needed.

You don't watch JJ much do you. JJ waits waaaay too ong in most instances to throw the ball. The only time he's effective is when he throws it quickly.

He's a QB for a major college program. Why would he expect anything different. If he wants to hear more cheers - play better.

Do you think he goes out there and not try to play better.

If he is the QB in the game, fans should cheer.

If he plays poorly, the Coach should replace him, and the fans should cheer that QB.

Booing serves no good.

I understand the frustration with Jefferson, but I'll never understand the love for Lee. He's made a couple of big throws, but the kid clearly is not an elite quarterback or anything close to it. Please drop the not having the opportunity to get into a rhythm argument. It doesn't fly. Jefferson has earned the starting QB spot.

I have never had a "love for Lee" but I was one who wanted to see what Lee could do when JJ was stinking the field up.

I am now satisfied that the coaches knew what they were doing regarding the two - JJ has shown to be an adequate qb and deserves to be the top guy.

However, to a fan of the game, this was not at all obvious for the first 9 games.

It was justified to want better than what was being offered. Lee was the only other choice, and when he got a few chances, he came thru big time or at least no worse than JJ.

And it is entirely appropriate to mention that Lee only got spot duty - mopping up or thrown into a very critical situation. In the critical situations he delivered.

It is natural to wonder what would have been different if he had been on the field the entire time.

All any of us want is competent play at the qb position. Nobody hates JJ or loves Lee. We want whoever can give us the best chance to put points on the board.

At the moment, I have seen what JJ can do and am very pleased with him - now all he has to do it continue to deliver.

Lee never got a genuine chance this year - life is not fair.

GO JJ!!!!

oh - and I do not think any of the boos were ever directed at a player - they were expressions of disapproval of coaches decisions.

I have to say in defense of JJ: The coaches didn't do him any favors earlier in the season.

Lundquist or Danielson pretty much confirmed this during the telecast. They quoted JJ saying something to the effect, " I knew I could do it if the coaches would let me."

I suspected this to be the case, which is why I refused to bash the quarterbacks and still want Crowton GONE.

I'm happy for him. I think the 2 qb rotation should end. I think we've found our QB (and I was a big lee supporter).

The coaches had to be conservative to prevent turn overs and not only hurt the team but destroy JJ's confidence too.Dealing with real people is not like playing X-Box.

Sorry, I couldn't hear you. Would you please remove Lee's balls from your mouth and try again?

Ya'll can have both of them, I'm ready for both to run out of eligibility. Good Luck to both of them, but I won't be sad to see them go.

Without Lee we would have at least two more L's.

He had a strong game. Keep it up. His season has been very poor, but yesterday was a decided exception. His recievers got open, Crowton called a good game, and he hit his open receivers in stride. Very strong execution.

Exactly. Sure Lee hasn't played well the last couple of games but, we have seen what he can do when he does get in a groove (Florida and Tennessee). Unlike most LSU fans I make my opinion and stick with it. I don't change my views after each and every game. I still think that if Lee was given equal opportunity he has more potential. Everyone who says they received equal opportunity is ridiculous. You say Lee should be cut out of the rotation because he hasn't played well lately. Why wasn't JJ cut out of the rotation when he played poorly week after week. Then others say that the coaching staff knew what they were doing by keeping JJ playing, well maybe they know what they're doing by still allowing Lee to play. But, LSU fans will never change. If they hate Les, it only takes one game for them to love him again, then if he loses again they once again hate him. The same people that booed Lee when he was a freshman booed Jefferson earlier this year, and the same people are now calling for Jefferson again. If you change your opinion this much, you know nothing about football and are simply a bandwagon fan.

It bass much less to do with QB confidence and more to do with playcalling. We finally started attacking the middle of the field in the passing game, stretching routes down the sidelines, and employing play action against Alabama and Ole Miss. The difference in the playcalling (and results) are obvious.

I'm the biggest anti-Crowton poster on the board, but even I can admit that he called a good game yesterday.

As for Lee, I still like him having a series or two. Jefferson, due to his running game, has a higher chance of injury. Both QBs benefit from watching the opposition from the sidelines and Lee will also benefit from the type of playcalling we saw yesterday.

jj did have a good game yesterday. let us not forget every team that has played ole miss has probably had their best offensive game of the year.
as for lee, he has not had a fair shake. you can also say nothing bad about him yester day. he attempted 3 passes. one he was flushed out the pocket and threw it away, one was a beautiful throw on the sidelines to sheppard that the db made a great play on and the other was a well thrown fade where tolliver was obviously held.
